Timescale
I dislike fast timescales. I always turn it way down in games like Skyrim with their console commands. Is there a way to do that here? Seeing a minute go by every second is unnerving and weird.

Here you can check what should be in each directory. I put the image on STEAM,

1. BeplnEx for x64 is a 2 item with 609kb BepInEx_x64_5.4.22.0.zip. You unzip it as is into the root directory of the game. There will be a new BPeplnEx directory, and the files :winhttp.dll, doorstop_config.ini, changelog.txt.

2. You run the game with admin rights (some mission) and it will create its subdirectories inside the directory. Also the plugins directory (Figure 2.)
3. You shut down the game and unzip the mod into the plugins directory along with the TimescaleMod directory. Inside the directory will be the following files Timescalemod.cfg and Timescalemod.dll. (Figure 3 and Figure 4.)
4. You run the game and it should work. This mod has no settings in the mod manager. The time is adjusted manually in the Timescalemod.cfg file.
That's it. You can check the functionality of loading the mod in the LogOutput.log file

Good luck, hope the pictures help.

Here also is not working the timescale mod. In the logfile I see that is loaded but nothing happen. Could this be a problem with the cfg file? Which version of occupy mars? I'm at the moment with the beta.

Try to reinstall it without changing config file.
I had also this issue and I guess that it might be the reason that I changed values in config file. Or romething else, I don't know. Anyway it started to work eventually.

I reload the original .cfg made a short check. Was working. After this check I changed the values as I wished and is still working. I don't know wether the reason was my additional comments with "#' or last new empty line. Or was one hidden char. I don't know. Perhaps the author of this mod can say something to the config file what may can go wrong when editing. I edit with the original "Editor" from Windows.

done this to death, had experienced modder do it on their game, it does not work anymore, done these steps countless times, have uninstalled and reloaded the game/mods ect, 3 or 4 times, it does not work, the files are identical to your pictures, it does not work. that is all.

Then I can't advise anymore. It works for me on the latest patch.

What a shame, it's working for me as well on the latest version of the game

i got it to work, the problem was nexus, when i downloaded the file it said the mod needs this program to work, the link was for a 32 bit OS, the mod manager "vortex" downloaded the same 32 bit OS bepinex, i haven't used a 32 bit OS since win xp, don't know how many years ago that was, read the entire website for bepinex, and there was one line way into it, that said download the correct version for your operating system, the 64 bit version worked fine, so IF i ever want a mod again i'll try and avoid nexus, and i certainly won't try to use their mod manager again, perhaps someone who has contact with nexus should notify them to update their software, that's my modding career done, i got the 1 mod i wanted.

@mastercesspit

Bepinex is just an environment to make mods work. Bepinex is not on Nexus. It's on Github in the latest version 5.4.++. You downloaded whatever came to you first. You didn't think. The mod has been working since the beginning, that's why it's not even updated. Just download the correct version of Bepinex and follow the instructions. Then copy the mod from Nexus to the plugins directory. All mods and mods manager work from Nexus. Verified. That's all.

One minute in game is 3 seconds in real life....but I understand what you're saying, and I agree. It's WAY too fast. Yes, an option would be great.
It should not take me 3 hours to travel 1.5km.

How else do you simulate a sense of danger and urgency though? If the game is just a relaxed play, how is this in any way simulating being stranded on your own on Mars?

if i wanted to run around like a chook with it's head cut off, i'd play fortnite, to each their own i suppose.

I use that timescale mod too, This should definitely be a option in the sandbox menu (before you start the game) because the original timescale in the game is silly fast and kills the immersion

totally agree, it is insane, ruins the game, my problem was that the default download for bepinex is 32 bit, there is no option to choose 64 bit, i clicked the link, and it didn't work, had to do research to find out that bepinex is not a universal bundle, once i got the right os option, by downloading it manually, same version as the link, but 64 bit, it was fine, most sites give you a choice of what to download, or check your operating system before downloading, idk, i thought 64 bit was the standard these days, apparently not, all good now anyway, much enjoyment @ 60/60

I don't think I'd like the game to be much slower, however. Sitting around waiting for stuff is one of the few bad points of this game in general. If I had to wait say 5 times as long, I don't think I could handle it. Games like this need scaling. I just wish that they would use map distance scaling too, so that the map would have some semblance of logic to it. As it is, everything that one would find on Mars is bunched into an area around the starting zone, and then you have an infinite map stretching out in all directions into repetitive nothingness. I don't really make much sense to me. That'w why I stopped going too far beyond the named areas of the map, and even made my own paper map of the territory I will explore. I personally have no use for any of the infinite map outside of the main area.

Me, I love the pace of the game. No need for too much realism. I'd rather a game that is flowing and exciting. Any slower, and the game would probably bore me to tears, especially with how long it takes to wait out those stupid storms and events, or an overnight if you don't have enough food or water to sleep through it.

i'm old, just want to relax and get into the tech tree, ;)
