new sandstorm event is too deadly
It hits with zero warning and lasts way too long. In my save it keeps hitting a few hours before sunset while I'm out exploring: I don't have the survival capsule unlocked, so I cant shelter that way, trying to ride it out in an abandoned base didn't help because it was still going when the sun set, and trying to run back to base didn't work because the quad either broke or hit an invisible wall 500m before getting there. So in this case no way to avoid freezing to death.

I've found I can just set a marker at home base on the map and then drive the ATV home during a sandstorm. It blows you away if you're walking but the ATV physics is basically unchanged. With the marker, you don't need much visibility to get home.
Just so y'all know, don't try flying with a jetpack in sandstorms, even with night vision on. Unlike all aircrafts... this jetpack doesn't have "pull up" alert and you can only predict whereever the ground is by using visible map markers.
The new sandstorm also overrides already alerted events. I had it twice, one time a solar storm and one time a meteor shower. First the alert of the given event appeared, then, an hour later or so, the new sandstorm event started instead, also having both alert signals flashing in the hud. When the storm ended, the flashing alert for the initial event in the hud was still there, but the event itself did not occur.

Same for events like supply drops, meteors or downed rockets with pendrives.

It can work if you get lucky: the storm can launch small rocks and the ATV will break and need an new circuit board if it gets hit. (even if you have a spare, good luck trying to swap it out while being pushed by the wind)
