Yes but i could invite you over for dinner now as i've finally discovered apples, pumpkin, cabbage and some other veggie who's name eludes me at present. Apparently here on mars we are all vegan so no burgers for us sorry about that! :)
That being said YOU my dear Dallas look nice and meaty...and you're vegan so that means not much fat on you.
Want to come visit my base?
Poplar
Spruce
Pumpkin
Corn
Beetroot
Pepper
Cabbage
Lettuce
Apple
Will be interesting to see what concoctions I can come up with when I get properly setup.
Hang on...potato...corn....HEY PYRAMID CAN I MAKE MOONSHINE? Or I guess in this case it would be "Mars Shine"? Gimmie a still!!
But then we would need Orange trees as well... Can make Bloody Mary's with the Tomatoes though, Dev's could you please modify the fridge so it makes Ice Cubes, ohhh and Celery would be nice as well. Throw in a couple of Chili's to make hot sauce.
*facepalms at Pyramid intensifies*
While i like the idea of being invited for dinner, being the main course would leave me feeling like i'm playing the forest rather than trying to grow one

Apart from that... i don't think there is such a thing as the best MRE for everyone.
The nutritional value is a range for every recipe. One may be after the maximum possible nutritional value while others are prefering a more predictable result, even if the average value is slightly lower.
Plus: tomatoes without pepper are inedible in any combination...
