Put your kit on the sand outside. (No, you can't do it inside or on a workbench. Those aren't for doing actual work!)
1. Put the three solid rocket fuel chunks into the assembly.
2. Put the nozzle on the base of the rocket.
3. Put the camera into the nose of the rocket.
4. Put the battery into the nose of the rocket.
5. Put the side of the rocket on the assembly.
6. Put the three fins on the base of the rocket.
Rocket is now complete. You can do more of them, and they do stack. To load your Anti-Meteor Station, approach the station's crate with rockets in your hand and it'll suggest "Supply rockets". Currently you can have 5 max rockets at each station.
Eyes glaze over and I start to twitch
7. Put cone on nose of rocket
Can't wait for that feature, hopefully it's implemented soon because that was fiddly.
The usual controls don't work the same way and different for depending on the part you pick up, like picking up the cover before you're finished and going to inventory to drop it drops automatically while the other parts remain in inventory and has to be manually dropped.
Picked up more than one similar part, now it's stacked and is placed stacked without any way to revert it.
Pick up the assembly removes stacked parts on that assembly so you loose parts.
Now I have 2 incomplete sets, out of 17 printed, that I cant do anything with, not even drop it in the workshop trash (gets placed outside of trash when dropped from inventory)
Have dropped it outside a little distance from starter base, hoping it'll despawn.
Next option is explosives and detonator.
I had this happen last night too! Now I have rocket parts that a good for nothing and I dont even want to do this part because is overly tedious and no fun when the mechanics are more painful than enjoyable. Automation is one thing but I already have to build everything in this game and going this far feels like a huge step in the wrong direction of game development.
Are you on a freeplay or Campaign run with those saves?
I'm on a campaign save and I've had 2 meteor showers since start and haven't reached sol 70 yet.
Have so far lost 1 4 way connector, 3 wells and their tanks, damage to 2 of 3 buildings (Garage and 2nd workshop), big crusher was damaged well past 50% and most of my cables and hoses were pulled up by the impacts and damages.
Had thankfully enough time rebuilding the wells and tanks to save my withering crops, as the last barrage happened close to 6 AM.
