Start Locations

Are the start locations the same, as in finding resources, scrap etc, or is there a start location that is better than the others?

Not so much an issue of resource availability, but other factors can play a role. I'm currently in a large crater Elysium Planitia and the sun doesn't raise the temperature until after 9am when it creeps over the rim of the crater. Other areas that I've tried it's usually about 7am. So there's two hours less work available in the open.

Mountains too, can be an issue. Tried a camp at Arsia Mons, but there's a huge energy budget with returning on a trip and not as much room at the top for expansion.

Good question. I was also wondering which start location has the largest available build area. I've only tried three so far.
