I 3D print in the Pod, where does it go?

I'm wasting mats, but nothing shows up, I open the door on the side on the printer but nothing is in there, yet mats are consumed?

The 3D printer has two inventorys, one where you place the ores and another one where the crafted items are placed. Click on the inventory name above the ores and select from the popup menu.
And don't worry, I had exactly the same questionmark in my head when I used it for the very first time :D
