Long loading time before matches?

Hey, I am having to wait almost 3 minutes (loading screen) each time before a match starts (in career). Is that normal?? It's quite annoying.

Maybe, but could too weak power supply also be contributing to issue? I have 650 W.
I also have 5 external hard drives connected to PC along with 2 internal hard drives and this graphics card.

3 minutes certainly sounds like something is going wrong - what type of drive do you have the game installed on?

All the specs mentioned above certainly sound easily sufficient for the game.

I have the game installed on my internal drive on which I also have Windows installed:

WDC WD10EZEX-08WN4A0 ; 1 TB (currently 742 GB free space)
7200 rpm ; 64 mb cache



Do you think moving the game (is that even possible) to a new steam folder on one of my external hard drives would solve the issue?

Certainly worth trying.

To do that, right click AO International Tennis in your games list and select Properties, then the Local Files tab and then click the 'Move Install Folder' button. Then you'll be able to select another drive and it will move the files over.

Moving the game folder to an external drive Will slow down loading times !! Keep it on your C: drive. I have my steam folder on a normal HDD not an SSD and the games load quickly.

OK on loading screen I just opened Task Manager and am seeing 100 % CPU usage all time during the loading screen. When match starts, it drops to about 40 %. Are those 100 % normal?

Yes loading times are a little long here too. about 1 minute I guess before every match (MacbookPro with Bootcamp). Game performance is fine. It's a little painfull that the game also needs about a minute after every match to get back to the menues. Maybe at least the latter could be improved...?

OK, not only the loading takes minutes before and after matches, also updating takes so long.

For example, yesterday's 40 mb update. It downloaded in a minute and then it took 8 minutes to install?!

Hey, I am pleased to say that after last big update loading time has greatly decreased. Now instead of waiting 3 minutes before/after matches to come back to the menu, it only takes half a minute. Thanks, developers.
