You can play the game with keyboard or watch AI v AI with one.

A controller is highly recommended however.

I tried demo before some weeks and was only about to create player and stadiums... It's just a tool to import data in PS4-XBOX1..

The demo is just the creation tools. Steam unfortuantly doesn't allow us to rename the 'Download Demo' link to something else.

The full game can be played with keyboard controls.
