problems playing this game

for some reason its impossible to play shenmue, i even got the special K mod, but the game dont even render, look at my screenshots, i dont know how to upload images here, but there its what i mean, its quite frustrating

EDIT: I tested shenmue 2 and it does not have the same problem, at least the beggining part, my issue is only with shenmue 1.

i think i will need more then that, dont think that is a def answer friend, why is my computer not enough? i can run every other new gen game in high graphics, why is this port of a 1999 game not running? sorry but i dont get it

You got great RAM and Processor with 4 cores.

But what Video card you have?
Does your laptop support 1 GB video RAM?

Shenmue 1 requires more resources to run than Shenmue II.
Since Shenmue II was made using XBOX source files which is similar to PC architecture while
Shenmue I was made for Dreamcast Architecture which is different and
Basically in order to make it work on PC will require Heavy resources.

Anyway check your video card model then I could tell you if your video card supports the game or not.
Intel video cards are not supported.
From my experience can tell you my laptop has Intel video card and does run the game ok.
But mine is a 2016 model and can use RAM as video RAM to support over 1GB.

The new Iris Card are even better.

yes, rendering is fine, i dont even think i need to get mods, i want to, but i feel like its going to ♥♥♥♥ me up again, for some reason the game starts when he wants to, the first time i open the game after i turn on the computer is fine, i can play well, but if i close the game i cant play anymore, i have to shut down the pc and start up again, dont know if its the mods, i hope not

edit: dont know if its relevant, but my steam games are not in the (C:), its on the data (D:)

my fears were right, i installed again without any mod and its starting and closing just fine, well, guess i will have to play without any enhance mods, that is quite sad, i would like to know why the mods cause this

Try adding a mod at a time. Probably is only one of the mods causing you problems.

thank you once again for the insight, i was using the special K + nexus mod, since i am a user of the site for years, i tought the shenmue ones was reliable, guess not, i will tru the ones you linked

Then for nexus try these which I think are the most important ones. Test them one by one.

If they work then perhaps reshade the problem or one of them.
