There are also a few optional cutscenes with Nozomi and Ryo's friends that shed a bit more light on things, plus some of Ryo's backstory about why he's so unemotional was squirrelled away on the Passport disk in the original Dreamcast release.
That is interesting.
They not going to end up together that is for sure. It's hinted in Shenmue II when you choose option about "love" when talking with Fang Mei and he says he would like to know more about girl on his dreams. https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=527&v=V0Ry-SkLEQk

The bio in the Passport elaborates on this by saying Ryo got into the fight with his friend because they were teasing him about liking a girl. It went on to mention something about how since then he's been a lot more closed off about his feelings, which explains a LOT.
I can't tell if it was cool or stupid to hide something that crucial to understanding Ryo in the Passport.
Ryo is quite normal for a typical Japanese. Its more of a cultural shock.
thank you through didn't knew what caused the fight.
I get the feeling she’s not being entirely honest about why she heads back to Canada; I think she just wouldn’t be able to stand a Yokosuka without Ryo there. So I think she made the choice, or at least didn’t fight the situation once she found out about Ryo leaving. I’m sure leaving her mother and grandma wasn’t an easy choice though.
That’s interesting about Ryo getting embarrassed by his peers; it would explain why he’s so hesitant around Nozomi’s friends to admit he likes her. From that perspective, Eri’s persistence probably seems obnoxious. (I like Eri though, because she obviously cares about both of them to go to such lengths)
