Shenmue I & II saves request
I finished both games on PS4, and I bought them again with pleasure on steam because I intend to do the 3rd episode on. Nevertheless, I don't wish to go through the two games again in the immediate future. Would someone kindly share their backups? Or tell me if there is a way to convert its PS4 backups?

I am currently working on another 100% playthrough of Shenmue 1, which includes all possible notebook entries, kick and punch moves maxed out and every item collected. I should have it done in the next few days.

I already have a 100% save file of Shenmue 1, but I had to start again because I wasted so much in game time and ended up completing it in mid February. If you carry this save into Shenmue 2, then there is no chance of starting the Fangmei Birthday event, there isn't enough time in the game to trigger the event, so that is why I am starting fresh now.

Thanks a lot dude, I appreciate that! If you can let a few progress slots in that save (ie i'd like to do the forklift race again) it will be awesome. I've spent more than 40 hours on PS4, and I want to be ready for Shenmue 3 without re-run the 2 games all again, but simply chill on the best sequences.

Any tips to archieve 100% fastest way TurtleHermit?
Shenmue has so many secrets... Like finding SEGA CEO in the game, which seems to be one the most difficult secrets to unlock.

Trainers and Cheat Engine XD There is a trainer that stops time, freezes your money and speeds up your movement in game, so you could practice all of your moves, find all capsule toys and win all prizes in a single in game day if you wanted to.

Seriously though, there is no quick way outside of cheating from what I have seen because the capsule toys, raffle prizes and slots depend on luck. Gold and Silver Dural and the very rare Sega Capsule toys took me ages to find. There may be a slightly quicker way to win the prizes from shops and capsule machines, it requires a fair bit of saving and reloading though. Basically, you could buy about 50 prize winning cans from the soda machines and just keep trading them for raffle tickets until you get the prizes you want. If you don't win anything, just reload your game and try again. Apparently the odds of winning increase on special days like Christmas day and New Years too, so it may be a good idea to go for the prizes on those days. I tried this and I personally didn't notice any difference, it still felt like I was winning prizes at the same rate as any other day in the game.

Training moves is a pain and time consuming too, and the throw moves are almost impossible to max out. There is a bug in the game where the move your are practising doesn't progress if you look at your current progress before performing the move 10 times. The only way to practice throw moves is with Fuku-san in the dojo once a day, but you can only perform a move 8 times each session, that means you need to practice that move everyday for about 20 days to max it out and without checking your move progress in that time. I just gave up on throw moves, there is no way you can max them out and complete the whole game before February in game. It's like I said above, if you want to carry your save into Shenmue 2 and complete the Fangmei birthday event, then ideally you want to start Shenmue 2 in late January / early February at the latest.

So yeah, trainers are the only way to speed things up really.

Would be great to edit game date to set it at an earlier time. I wonder if anyone has achieved that? or just freeze the date so is always same date this would be great for people who has already a save file.

So with stop time cheat you can stop time to be able to go to Abe shop after work right?

I remember I would work on mastering moves in Shenmue II since is it so easier to do so.
Didn't bother much with Shenmue I

I think could be possible to edit the training values when you sleep so skill give you a lot more exp when you sleep.

Or better yet edit the move progress in save file.

What trainer do you recommend?

Somebody did manage to create a trainer that changed the in game date, but that was before the first update. I downloaded it a few months ago to see if it still worked after the updates, but it doesn't.

Yep. You can even add or subtract an hour from the day too. So you could finish work and subtract the hours spent working and go home and train with Fuku-san in the dojo. I used this method to get a notebook entry that wouldn't normally be possible to do playing it normally.

I would love to be able to do that. If I knew what I was doing with that kind of stuff, I would definitely try it.

I used FLiNG's trainer for Shenmue 1. I downloaded it from Gamecopyworld. It's version 1.01. Windows may say that it's potentially harmful, but it's fine. FLiNG's trainers are completely clean.

I wonder if anyone can update that trainer that changes date here.
https://discord.gg/JRUfcd
Can you give it to them to see if someone can figure it out?
They still find some hacks there.

What does the note says?????
What is the note related too? That is very interesting I wonder if there are more hidden like that one you found out.

The changing date is possible and I know how you can probably get it.
I don't use cheat engine for a long time through.
So basically the way to find the address is probably in disc 2 when you try to enter the harbor and have to catch the flashlight on the harbor. Keep failing and searching for the value.
Then find the address that writes that value with that you can change to any one.
I wonder how far you can go!

By the way with changing hours where you able to see the sunset in shenmue?
You only suppose to see it with cheats but read it's impressive to see.

I don't have the trainer anymore, but I'll have a look around to see if I can find it. I got it from Reddit I think.

It involves two notebook entries. The first one is 'A tattooed man seen at You Arcade. Go check it out' and the other is 'Got a lead on Charlie'.

Both of them can only be obtained after beating the sailors in the car park at night. The problem is that 'Got a lead on Charlie' can only be obtained on the same day you beat the sailors and 'A tattooed man seen at You Arcade. Go check it out' can only be obtained in the morning as soon as You Arcade opens and before the bikers squat there for the rest of the day.

If you get 'Got a lead on Charlie' first, then you lock out the You Arcade entry and probably a bunch of others because this entry progresses the story and if you wait until the next day to get the You Arcade entry, then it's impossible to get 'Got a lead on Charlie' because it needs to be obtained on the same day you beat the sailors. So what you do is rewind time with the trainer so you can obtain both on the same day.

I haven't really got the patience to find it XD The only thing I'm good at with Cheat Engine is cheating for money and slot machine coins.

I messed up once though because I gave myself too much money to begin with and this bugged the Global Travel Agency. It was permanently closed and never opened again, which meant I couldn't obtain a notebook entry and get 100% of the items in the game.

I have never thought to check, I wouldn't know where to look. I would assume the best spot would be the Harbor. I'll check it out the next time I play.

The secret notes are very interesting, there probably some list of secrets notes in the forum.

Yes would take a few tries, but once you have it, no need to find it again.
Perhaps is not that difficult to find. But modifying save file may be more simpler.

You can find more info about the sunrise on Shenmue Dojo. You have to be able to stay all night outside to be able to see it. There is a bug to be able to lock yourself on arcade and play there the world night playing Space Harrier yet requires a lot of patients.
