We hope they'll make more, of course. But as this was crowdfunded, we might need another campaign or three to get the rest of the series.
Not to mention, there are two full volumes and one fandisc, plus another full volume and another fandisc on the way, none of which are in anime form (yet). And they get better in a number of ways, with Vol. 3 being the best in the series, IMO.
So, my recommendation is: Get the VNs, no question. (The proper order is 1, 0, 2, 3. So far.) Watch the OVA, maybe. You could decide that after reading Vol. 1. Or, I guess you could go the other way: watch the OVA, and if you like it, start in on the VNs.
After that, it was additional subtitle languages at $600,000, a short story about Chocola and Vanilla (the main catgirls focused in Vol. 1 and this OVA) as a mini-VN at $800,000, and finally a mini-OVA adaptation of said mini-VN at $1,000,000. And we got it all in the end!
You think it's longer than you would expect? But having watched it, I didn't feel like there was much time wasted to cover the plot, and that anything shorter would have felt cramped.
At least in the UK they are the biggest (only really besides some trash) legal Anime.
It might mean a loss but it gains a following, thus creating more market for future videos
