I have Missionary lvl 70 and she can't attack enemy
The missionary when You get a Starred missionary, gets an ability, that causes damage when they heal a tank.

Though i have yet to test it myself, i have read elsewhere, this can only be triggered once, per use.
The way it works is, the young warlock can boost his output power to massive levels, more so as a battle/adventure goes on for. He uses this, along with the rest of the party's help, to do obscene amounts of damage with the poisonous needles (AoE at that), even when it isn't his turn.
You'll want the rest of your party to be capable of both buffing themselves a lot, and being able to cure debuffs. In my party, I've got a missionary who cures, a duelist for the AoE damage reduction buff (which you can further buff with an item that makes most buffs undispellable, for a near permanent 70% dmg reduction buff with a starred duelist). The other two slots you can pretty much put anything there, but a tank of sorts (a warrior) helps for the protective passive they have. The last slot I've got a conjurer, mostly for the extra buffs his summon can provide, but you can pretty much put any class there.
So yeah, if you setup poisonous needles right, you'll do far more than the starred missionary ability. I'm up to 890 on the mystic dungeon right now, and still going up using just that and gear I got while below 100, so... take that as you will. ;p
Yeah, warlock isn't too bad, i still need his staff, but he's quite nice.
Guess the best single target dps guys are all AOE specialists. :p
*Edit, and i was up to floor 660 or so, with my previous team, i just wanted to speed my game up a bit, via better damage overall.
The big bonus to setting up to use a device (like poisonous needles), is that it can activate even when you're getting beaten up and save you.

Here's a screenie from my current game. Warlock pushes all the way through using the device, while everyone else is more focused on just keeping people alive.
what do you build him for? crit or?
While poisonous needles does the majority of the damage, I tend to make use of special traits on weapons/armour that cause bleeds, and have the main DPS'er (the warlock in this case) with the 4 piece savage heart bonus, since that makes DoTs explode for extra damage. Another thing that might speed things up for you, is having your main DPS'er equipped with the instant kill ring. An ancient one I have does this when mobs are under 50%, which can speed things along too.
Other than that, I just try and build them along their primary stats. Though, I do have all my characters equipped with plate, since you can't do damage if you're dead, and the extra damage given by leather/cloth doesn't seem worth the risk, at least for me.
Edit: Whoops, I've been using a crit ring rather than the instant death ring on my warlock during all my time in the mystic dungeon. Now things are going a lot faster with it on. ;p
Can you tell your equip on them, plz? Also, for ghost collectors, you use the ones that get the points when team takes direct damage, right?
But prior to that, yeah, I used the poisonous needles a lot. I used both the direct damage and the cure negative effect versions, since you'll want a healer to cure debuffs as you get up into the higher levels of the mystic dungeon.
I generally used daggers for the strength characters since they had both str and agility on, which were useful. I always used plate for armour since the defensive benefits outweighed the tiny damage buffs on the leather/cloth, at least in my opinion. Crit rings on DPS'ers. Instant death ring on primary DPS'er (or the one using poisonous needles). Cure debuff ring on the tank.
Where able, you make use of special star items and use star characters, since they're game changing too. That being said, as soon as you're able to make the thorn set (the three different thorn necklaces) use switch to gearing for that, as it seems to be the strongest setup right now.
Can you describe your build? i can itemize pretty decently, but my redhorn was getting really terrible dps, closer to 300k... when my aoe guys are doing 300mil...
Got the thorns set.
Can you tell us what you use with it?
