Stuck at ilevel 8. Can't complete the final quests.

I spent all day as maxed out as I can realistically be (as far as I know at least) and I cannot even come close to beating the last few quests. I need to finish the shadow path but the enemies are all level 81 and completely stomp me.

Each character has ancient level 8 gear with gems/reforged and enchanted. They all are at 75 or higher. Using:

paladin, missionary, bun sister, fire player and elemental assassin.

What am I missing? It went from normal to crazy impossible.

How much crit do you have? All my dps have at least 95% chance and 800% damage. They stomp 89s no problem. If luck isnt your friend, try cheat engine speedhack to farm faster. Try getting some ancient or star heroes as well, their stats are much higher and stars come with bonus effects. Same with weapons. The devs say star weapons have a 10% chance every ancient. They have MUCH higher stats and insane bonuses. One for my star killer gives thousand knives 850% more damage and it costs 50% less rage.

You should check the status reduction of the dgn, also they might be using some positive buffs or shielded. if they are, try to mix in a killer or warrior and get the timing right for their skills proc.

I just hit this wall as well and I'm going to shift my party composition. I've just been going for as much straight damage as possible but I think it's time to actually learn the game now. I do have an assassin that has been running a soft crit build and he's been my main damage dealer so maybe I'll go for that.

See it's not damage that is the issue. My guys die very quickly. I have the best gear I can realistically have and I have gemmed/forged it for health and they still just die as soon as I enter into these harder stages. They don't even get a chance to buff up and deal damage.

I just feel that something is seriously wrong or that I am missing something.

Same. I'm stuck doing these heresy missions that give resources I can't use.

I actually completed the normal difficulty with a party close to the same as yours. Paladin, Warrior, Fire player, Fire assassin, Missionary. Also its important to use these auto tactics: FP/W/FA/M.

This should get you into hard mode. Even if you dont have ancient heroes but legendary.

Yeah I let the game idle overnight and reconfigured my team.

Chubby Lady: Built for crit/crit damage. Fully heals my party every time she uses her skill.
Fashion Boy: Built for crit/crit damage. Does about 230k damage to all enemies with his skill.
Paladin: He's there to eat the hits, has about 45k health. He tanked pretty hard on the third mission.
Red Horn: Built for crit/crit damage. He was my main damage before and can carry when my Fashion Boy gets squished. Does about 100k with his regular attack to all enemies.

I just finished all 3 of the missions pretty easily but my Fashion Boy died on the third. Thankfully my Red Horn was able to carry me through those dark times.

Try adding in consumables if you are having trouble to get the good gear. Make sure to build ships and send out idle party members for gold.

Gold isn't an issue either. I ended up pumping as much vit into my party as possible and loaded up with consumables. I just bashed my party's face over and over into the wall until I just happened to luck out and squeak by. Now I am doing hard mode.

Still feel like there is some balance issues there towards the end.

Not really, it means you aren't building right or have a good comp that works well together. Everyone needs hp, so vitality is important, but it's also important to have taunt so your squishies take considerably less damage. Try a paladin and build him tanky and fast.

I've beaten hard mode with the same team as normal. All with near basic characters just with better gear.

My team comp is fine. The gear I have is as good as it's going to get. I have all ancient and one starred ancient. Levels are all 80. Maxed out skills. All gear is enchanted and slotted. All ancient gear.

Paladin, fire player, missionary, bun sister and soul thief.

Well crap...I am now in difficult mode and...I can't even beat the very first level to get the gear I need.

Seriously...wtf am I missing here? It can't be this hard.

It’s not terribly hard. Go back to normal and farm the repeatables. Use the forge to enchant and reforge. Just because it’s ancient doesn’t make it good lol

You can also transfer exclusive passives to any other weapon
