I keep saying it, you guys are just awesome :))
I've to ask though, was it intentional that the mobs should regen 400k hp per turn and have 2 mill hp with 90% dmg reduction? are there actually party setups out there capable of doing that? Because I've grinding the best in slot items except for Star ranked items through crafting.
but my tanks are still oneshotted even with 5 billion toughness thanks to bun girl.
I could cheese the game and use elemental wizard tactical for immortality on the final boss but there's still no way to out dmg the regen because he's nearly immortal.
atm I can't find a method to reduce magical armor, only physical through warriors basic attack.
I know Fire assassin is currently capable of stacking insane dmg.
but I mean, this just seems way out of hand xD.
@Lodor3 The boss probably hit you more than 2 times, each protection only shields 1 damage source. I had to test this one out myself, it appears that if any enemy has more hits than you do turns of shield it gets through.
I beat the bosses without upgrading the skills to level 3 but it really takes a carefully crafted team with well thought out abilities. I had to get out the old pencil and paper and list out what resistances I needed for the level and skills that were effective. It was very difficult I don't want that under stated, but managable. I really enjoyed that challenge. Now that it's over I'm a little sad.
To be specific, each armor, weapon and ring should augment the team in some way. Ancient Level quality at level 8 is really effective. Each character's skills should be boss specific. Each time I got wiped at the end a few times but it just made me want to figure it out. I went with 2 pure DPS with 3 support characters. The Paladin with his status immunity skill is a must. By using the pally I didn't have to take a healer and let that healer role be covered by my ancient Cube. Each character should also have a 4 gem suit ability. Good hunting.
For high regen, there are skills that can reduce heal effectiveness by high percentage.
90% reduction was rolled out mainly to give players more room to increase their resistances.
There are shield adventurers that can can help team avoid some good hits, and with a high speed paladin, it is possible to get bosses taunted for 70%+ of times.
Apart from fire assassin, fashion boy and young warlock are also capable of dealing high damages. Fashion boy with good passive and gems can deal high number of hits per cast, and warlock with decent DoT specialization can deal instant high damage if proper gem set is equipped.
During development, we used a set of player save files for testing, and did have some reasonable winning cases to grant our confidence for release.
But again, due to the nature of this game, there are so many setups possible >< and the actual perceptions of these challenges vary greatly among players....
So adding a sophisticated difficulty setting is the only option for us now...
Anyways, as I said earlier, we didn't mean to punish players, we intentionally designed these challenges so players can mix and match their setups in exciting new ways maybe. But it's not to say that we just ignore players that feel punished.
Nice! XD
I have a quest in the Northern Territory which has a time limit on it but I can't access Northern Territory until I complete the Explore Quest.
I can't complete the Explore quest in the time limit because my level 70 team wearing full level 7 ancient gear gets one shot by any enemy in the Royal waterfall stage which I need to complete.
Yet I am perfectly capable of doing higher level areas within the existing stages without any issues.
The northern Territory is a rough area which takes a developed team to win, it is not like any of the other areas except maybe the mystic dimension. My first suggestion is upgrade the gear, the Vitality difference between a top 10% roll level 8 and a level 7 is about 1500 points or so if I remember right.
If you aren't winning in time you need to increase damage output or change the way you are doing damage. With some levels certain damage types are not as strong - fire was hit hard by Northern Territory and MD.
Class exclusive enchantments will help and so will gems.
Thanks for the reply. To clarify it's not actually Northern Territory I'm having trouble with, it's the quest to UNLOCK Northern Territory, which takes place in Royal Waterfall in twisted time. This is listed as a 'Normal' Quest, while the other quests in this area are 'Ancient' and I am able to complete them with little difficulty.
I am already using at least 2 gems in every item, all of which are at least level 5-6 and are geared toward the element and primary attribute of my dps adventurers and hp/resistances for my Bun Sister.
I do not have any class-specific enchants, however, is there something you need to do to unlock these? My furnace only gives normal enchants.
My gear is very close to the top rolls for the key stat, but those are nowhere near 1500 at level 7. I don't even think it's possible to roll an ancient plate with 1000 vit at level 7.
I should also note that I have never seen anything above epic for some of my classes so I still have a epic paladin and epic healer.
Any other tips you have would be appreciated.
