[Strategy] 4 Bun Sisters plus a healer go from Easy to MD 1000
In short, I got my first Bun Sister at Easy level 45 and was impressed. I assembled a team of 4 Bun SIsters and a missionary by the end of Easy, and I went all the way to Mystic Dimension 1000. Just sharing my experience...

1. Bun Sisters are powerful and brainless, especially in MD

Bun Sisters deals real damage based on her max health, not Output Capacity. This means pretty much all the damage rules of the game falls apart. Your attack is:
  • Neutral (so damage enhancement and enemy resistance debuff are useless),
  • Never crits (so crit hit/damage is useless),
  • Does not depend on Output Capaity (so strength is useless),
  • Never misses (so hit rate is useless).
This means ALL you need from their gears is Vitality and All Resistance (except that I needed Rage Efficiency too at high MD). Vitality is your survival AND damage. Bun Sister's normal attack is a huge resistance buff that stacks. As long as opponent does not dispel, the resistance grows exponentially and your team is nearly invulnerable. This makes gearing up Bun Sisters extremely simple -- just vit, vit, vit.

The advantage is that this build can be played by Auto-tactic. Up till this point, I have used Auto-tactic 98% of the time. The major weakness is that you may run out of Battle Energy against high-health bosses and health regens, which is quite an issue in higher MD (as well as early game). Here is how to work around it...

2. General strategy of gearing up the Bun SIsters, from Easy to MD 1000

  • Easy difficulty: Just use armor with the highest Vitality.

  • Easy difficulty with story line complete: Craft armor and really cherry pick those with high Vit. They stand out easily since they got one random affix rolled Vit. REFORGE one of the other affixes ino Vit. And ENCHANT one more Vit affix on it. Always use the 4-set green gem that gives you 50% vit, and the 2-set blue gem that gives you 30% vit. This dramatically increases the Vit you can get. A well-crafted bunch of Vit armors in Easy difficulty can easily push you to MD 1.

  • MD 1-450: Keep improving your armor every 150 MD or so. Spend your ash on leveling the Bun Sisters to level 85, and choose the Talent that halves the Rage Cost. Progression slows a bit near 450. But save your resources till MD 451. Because...

  • MD 451-700: At MD 451, scrolls can roll Bun SIster exclusive -- which lets you double to triple your Vit by the end of the third battle, which means the damage of Bun Sisters double or triple. Dump ALL your resources crafting scrolls. This improvement of gear alone is enough to get to MD 700.

  • MD 701-900: Battle Energy works differently, and you will not have enough Battle Energy to progress at all. You need a set of amulet. Farm some amulet at MD 501 or so. Either the Thorns set or the AOE damage set makes MD 701-900 easy. Also, you easily run out of Rage against single target. Roll weapons with three Rage Efficiency affixes, just like how you roll armors with multiple Vit affixes.

  • MD 901-1000: Some bosses have nasty affixes that can completely kill an adventure. A high-health boss with Tank affix blocks literally all your damage. Silence shuts off all your tactic. Life-stealing enemies make you run out of Battle Energy. Some enemies are so defensive that the Thorns set barely touch them. It seems that the only choice is to use the AOE set, but for the remaining 2 amulets, use the Heart of Thorns because of the +% Vit. Upgrade those Vit amulet to max, and that doubles the Vit of two of the Bun Sisters. That is enough to hit MD 1000, although with some difficulty. Adventure success rate, I think, is about 50%.

3. But how about beyond MD 1000...

At this point, there seems to be no other major improvements I can make. I am honestly not sure how far this build can get. But given the diversity of the game, I am genuinely surprised there is one build that can go from start to at least MD 1000, let alone such a homogeneous, brainless one.

Many thanks!
Any suggestions on Star and Orange Affix? And what Rings?
Also, the AOE set, is that the Guilt of Prince set with 200% output on attacks that hit all enemies?

Sorry for all the questions, got to 800+ and first time I've used Bun Sister, the setup is just so different in what is actually useful compared to everyone else. My highest bun with60k Vit I put the lightnight /spread on all items but unsure if it even hits.

Cheers!

Do the Bun Sister Exclusive items still work on each Bun Sister? The health pool for you Buns must get enormous.

I try this and stuck right after Exploration quest. Already unlock lvl 8 equip and high tier components. But i can't auto farm components with bun sisters. One auto adventure take maybe 15-20 minuste to complete. Useless. Also i cant complete quests Evil books and Undead aristocracy. Mobs one shot me even with tons of hp.

Thanks for strat. Lucky for me, I already had four ancient buns and an ancient missionary to setup the team. Since seeing this post a couple days ago, I've gone from MD 100 or so to 700.

I do not have the talent for half cost or rage cost. It now says REDUCED to 50 rage cost for me.

I'm currently struggling with the wall that is getting past tier 9 gear, I've tried this setup with 4 lvl 85 Buns and a lvl 90 missionary, Buns are atm around 20k vit (close to 100k health) and I get slaughtered in hard mode just a few quests in, problem is that my normal farming team can't keep up with the Heresy quests any more (even with a good team). Really hoped this setup would work, any pointers?

I found in the end, a missionary + Golden Shaman, both with healer amulets leveled up so that over heals increase damage, + warrior and two chubby ladies worked, use the focus set for dps.

What's your auto-tactic setup for this party? Do you rotate between all members' tactics, or just use the highest HP sister's tactic?

To answer my own question: I realized that we want to cycle through all of them in order to avoid being bottlenecked on cooldown.

This works surprisingly good. Better than my fire player + fire assa combo...

Excellent guide. Works even better since the devices update (you can enchant and roll them for vit). You don't need to wait for MD451 to roll bun sister exclusive scrolls though. And in the end I needed rings dispelling negative effects more than rage efficiency.

thanks for build! 4 bun sisters+healer (focus on vit+reflect damage) and im currently in stage 1017 and still going.

Should the healer also get vit to survive or focus on int?
Edit: Also what passive or talents would be suggested?

Yes vit for the healer too, resurrection passive skill for all. Not sure for the talents. As for consumables and devices, healing potions and resurrection devices.

@Vernerus on the topic of 'resurrection devices' ... Do they even work? I have 'Peacemaker' which supposedly prevents death, but i haven't seen it work at all. It just randomly consumes Vital Energy points whenever it gets the chance :| . ( i don't have other Release devices equiped, just this one and 2 Vital Energy containers that generate the white points ).
