Unlocking Mod Effects

Hey guys, just wondering if a Mod Effect has to be unlocked before we are able to craft items being able to roll that mod.

For instance, I have been trying to get the "60% chance to deal xx damage" mod on my crafts but it never rolls despite crafting thousands of items. Even when farming MD i have never gotten any drops with that roll.

Only time I remember seeing was when I was starting out during the first few levels. Any idea on where to farm/unlock it would be much appreciated!

I've no idea. I just do a search in the factory for the type I'm looking for and apply it from whatever I've got that has it. Be sure to save up some pages of gear before you're crafting anything to ancient and trying to transfer mods from one to another.

Oh, if you're not far enough into the game that you can transfer those from one item to another, you'll eventually be able to do so in the factory.

Yup I have unlocked the Transfer feature. Additionally, I believe the mod in question is "Splash Damage" which I looked up under Equipment Effects, and I have it unlocked. Still unable to loot/craft weapons with that mod.

Oh, I see what you mean now. Maybe it drops from the world, and not from the dungeon? I spent a fair bit of time grinding on the world map and not in the MD, and I have, after checking my Equipment Effects, 3 things left to unlock. Perhaps I need to grind other areas.
