Game-ending Mixtape Bug. Help!

I found a mixtape earlier. Mixtape B. Before I even talked to the mariachi band leader. And then I found Mixtape A by getting the mariachi skeletons. I noticed that once I got mixtape A, mixtape B disappeared from my inventory (the DJ also wouldn't let me give him mixtape B in the first place), and the DJ now won't respond after giving him mixtape A. Mission remains uncompleted. I also don't remember where I got the mixtape at all, so I can't check the place where I originally found it to see if it respawned. I can't enter DTOP, as I still have about $12,000 to go, and I'm pretty sure the rest of the money is locked behind 'Drop the Bass'. I'm saved at the point right before I gave him the mixtape. What do I do? Am I softlocked?

Also, I've yet to find even one server key, let alone all 15, despite having thoroughly been through Aquanet, Love Cruise 64 and 99% of Geocity. Does this game have an actual ending?

(Edit: I didn't realize that the triangles were the keys at the time of writing. I had 5 keys)

Nope, game's still broken. I literally have over $1M and Oneechan is telling me I "don't have the numbers to join DTop".

Like, if you're checking for `money == 1000000`, you need to change it to `money >= 1000000`. This is not cool.

Hello branden! Im very sorry for your experience with the millions! Ill check into what could be causing this issue and we'll try to fix it as soon as possible. We will see what Oneechan's quest requirements are and see if there's maybe a variable there that we don't need that could be causing the issue.

i bought the game and spent hours trying to find why I couldnt get through dtop even that i have more than 1m, this ruins the whole game :(

did you get that quest to destroy all the virus in geocity? i was having the same issue with the drop the bass quest and being refused even though i had over 1mil. I went and spoke to the chozai character about the virus quest and he gave me 200k and now the oneechan lets me through. weird quest

So then the game is tracking how many quests you completed rather than how much money you actually have.

This is such an easy fix and yet the devs can't be ♥♥♥♥♥♥ to implement it. At this point, even if they do fix it, my review will stay negative on account of the devs doing a piss-poor job of maintaining their product. Case in point: promising an easy fix for an easy bug and then going radio silent for several months with no fix ever being implemented

Yeah like I said, my review's staying negative. As much as I like this game, I can't recommend broken games, let alone broken games that have been abandoned by the devs.

I'm assuming this hasn't been fixed yet? I just got the same bug. Found Mixtape B in the alleys and THEN finished the Mariachi mixtape quest. Gave the DJ mixtape A but now it won't let me give him B. I'll finish up my other current quests and pray that they'll let me in. If I have to start over or quit now this is going to be a dealbreaker for me.

The last word from the devs was in June of last year. These bugs will never be fixed

That's a shame. Thankfully I was able to continue on but that's still ridiculously frustrating.

I guess game lives up to name lol, seriously makes me sad to see games not a year after launch loose support for simple bugs.

Probably isn't as simple as you think it is.

Of course, the devs could patch this game, but I think they prefer to do something more worthwhile.

Yes, more worthwhile than fixing a broken product that you are selling for money.

$15 is not cheap. That excuse won't fly. They've abandoned the game, simple as that.
