As a whole I would say what makes Thyme so great is just what 50% more time means. You effectively do more of everything; farming, clearing camps, gathering pickups, etc. without a time crunch. This is especially important on Year Ten, where you can't go as quickly due to needing to be more careful with all the hazards. So because of that your run can go a lot more smoothly and be more profitable overall than if you were playing as other characters.
Yo I see you in a bunch of the discussions, any tips on getting 4 mega trees other than "good rng" ?
There are several tips I would recommend for this.
For the method I would recommend, it all starts with just getting one of each type of tree. This can be done through clearing enemy camps, with Tree Guardians especially being a high target, due to their flowers sometimes providing fruit trees. Because of this, I would advise aiming for a map clear to get as many natural saplings as possible. There's also Daily Orchard, which will be helpful for this entire process.
Throughout all of this, you need to remember to have enough land available. Each small tree takes up a 2x2 space, so four spaces total. Multiply that for the four required for a mega tree and you get 16. Multiply that by four again per each mega tree you need and you'll end up at 64. Now this might sound like a lot, but given the way the game was changed in 1.3 this is a lot less daunting than it used to be. You probably won't have a hard time doing this at all, and perhaps this will be the easiest part of getting Arboreal Deal.
Next, you will need a Sprinkler Tractor and some means to quickly recharge your tractor, preferably Hotwire due to it removing the cooldown entirely. If you do use Hotwire, make sure to have plenty of Heart Beets stocked up beforehand. Simply spam your tractor on whatever tree you need more of. Each use of the Sprinkler Tractor has a chance to drop a fruit tree. You won't see it right away, since the chance is slim, but I assure you that it is there. Repeat this until you have enough trees to satisfy the achievement's requirement.
This is the method I used, and I ended up getting eight mega trees, two of each kind, effectively doubling the achievement's requirements: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2467978681
