cool game but.. wheres the bike?
i havent had much issues with the bike but something that pi##es me the F#ck off is that at the start of the game they show you how you can call your bike with a whistle and not once has this feature worked after that tutorial, either add more mobility options which oh buddy this game desperately needs or just make a functional bike. genuinely, im having fun with this game but stuff like this is constantly making me NOT want to play it anymore.

On a sidenote, the performance isn't as bad as the other threads say at least not for me but something that does happen a lot is the audio cracking whenever i talk to an npc or pick up an object

The range for the call is pretty short, less than a full map square. You can get her back instantly by fast traveling to a location. Open up your map, move the cursor over a location, and the Set Marker command will switch to Travel.

yeah that seems to be the best option so far

I don't think this is the case anymore? There was a change to how this works a while back and now when you call the bike, if it is too far away it'll just teleport. You can use this to get the bike to otherwise impossible locations now, which is how I noticed it.

If the bike is nearby though I agree, often I can literally see the bike ignoring me, then when I run to it and get near it suddenly springs into action like it's not a lazy piece of junk lol.

the range seems to be very finicky i agree, i was doing some exploration somewhere inside a shipwreck and the bike wouldnt get to me, the walk was like 5 minutes long so i really wouldve appreciated for the bike to come to me

The whistle also doesn't work at all for me, even if the bike is like 20ft away.

We've made updates to the bike so as long as you're not in a building or a confined space she should come. As long as you hear her call, she should appear. If anyone finds Simoon isn't being called in an open area, please let me know where so we can look into it. Thanks!

there should be a car alarm button for your bike so you can just follow the blaring noise to it's location LOL

Here, I'll spend the 5 minutes that Shedworks couldn't in order to test it.

I tested 5 areas, 4 failed. I intentionally chose open areas with clear line of sight of the bike, no rocks. I hope you don't mind ~20fps footage, and no it wasn't lowered by recording software.

In the third video, the bike actually moved away from me. This is not a rare occurrence. The area that worked was in the salt flats, a totally empty and flat part of it.

If I come across as snarky or arrogant I hope you understand why. A simple 5 minute play of the game would demonstrate it is still not working. If you consider the above examples, and even more tellingly the previous changes to the bike camera (which had to get another patch soon after to fix it), it becomes increasingly doubtful that any of the updates are actually tested.

It's not really working for me either. Being "close" kind of defeats the object of it all. Needs a tweak, sorry.
/edit yeah, the bike does not come sometimes even if you are near.
