If the bike is nearby though I agree, often I can literally see the bike ignoring me, then when I run to it and get near it suddenly springs into action like it's not a lazy piece of junk lol.
Here, I'll spend the 5 minutes that Shedworks couldn't in order to test it.
I tested 5 areas, 4 failed. I intentionally chose open areas with clear line of sight of the bike, no rocks. I hope you don't mind ~20fps footage, and no it wasn't lowered by recording software.

In the third video, the bike actually moved away from me. This is not a rare occurrence. The area that worked was in the salt flats, a totally empty and flat part of it.
If I come across as snarky or arrogant I hope you understand why. A simple 5 minute play of the game would demonstrate it is still not working. If you consider the above examples, and even more tellingly the previous changes to the bike camera (which had to get another patch soon after to fix it), it becomes increasingly doubtful that any of the updates are actually tested.
