How to pass the Betrayer's Bridge Puzzle?

The inscription says "when the swords cross, stand face to face". I've looked around a little bit, and I be missing something on the floor above that because I'm completely lost on what to do. Help?

I was able to open it but I am not sure of the exact requirements. I waited for the time of day when the shadow of both swords are touching, and stood on the circular rock in front of the giant mask, facing the giant mask, and the door opened. The shadow was cast over the buildings on the other side of the bridge.

there is a diary inside the mouth of a giant worm statue, in the southeast of the map, with a text that seems to be a puzzle. I think it is related to the gastric bypass achievement

I think I have it. using the 'walk in the shadow' and taken literally, when you are on the op and look at the shadow, it'll stretch back behind to a weird formation which also stands out on the map as a grey donut. I think that's the worms ass end

Can't figure out how to get up there though......

I was able to get up there, and it does seem to be the other end of the worm. But up there I only found a worm/egg collectible. I stayed there for a whole day and nothing opened. I got up there having all the stamina upgrades, and by climbing a rock formation just west of the donut and floating to the donut to get a higher climbing start.
