Seriously, you can't even tell this is a 3D game if you only look at screenshots. I'm amazed how effective it is at evoking early Japanese anime or comic stills. They even made it so characters skip a few frames when they move around to simulate 2D animation key frames. It's brilliant.

So very beautiful, and very much inspired by one of my favorite comic artists, Jean Giraud (aka Moebius).

Yeah, the lines and color palette are VERY reminiscent of the French science fiction comics of Jean Giraud/Moebius. I know this game has also drawn a lot of Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind comparisons too, which is no coincidence since Hayao Miyazaki was great friends with Moebius and fondly cited his influence (particularly his comic, Arzach) with Nausicaa (in fact, Moebius named his second daughter Nausicaa!) . I'm super excited for this, looks like a day one purchase or pre-order from me!
