Dumb English-German voice acting
Will there be an option to switch the English German voices over to regular German voices? I get that you guys are too scared to give the Americans the full on German experience like your supposed to but to dumb this game down by giving the characters fake German accents is just ridiculous. It's no wonder that some Americans have such a warped view of Germany. You guys ain't helping to change that with ridiculous decisions like that.

Hi Tim, thanks for asking and for pointing that out! Yes, you can always switch the audio language from English to German and the other way around. You can also do that separately with the subtiltes, if you’d rather enjoy the German audio with English subtitles (or whatever subtitle language may be implemented in the future).

In the German audio, the characters have different German accents. So naturally, they also have different German accents in the English audio. There is nothing fake about it, as all characters are voiced by native German voice actors with genuine German accents when speaking English. It's just the way people sound over here when speaking English. Of course, the intensity of the German accents may vary depending on the education level of our characters. We are sorry that you’ve got the impression that this decision may "dumb this game down" and hope you may enjoy it even with all these accents around. After all, the game is set in a remote German village and we believe it would be rather ridiculous and less immersive to equip these lovely German townspeople with, say, British or American accents.

Judging from the voices heard in the trailers I think the voice acting will be perfect! I don't hear anything dumb in the accents. The music is also very lovely. It's a shame I missed the Kickstarter on this one but this is still a day one buy for me.

I am German myself and can conform, these are genuine German accents in English. This is actually really refreshing in comparison to actual fake accents, like IQ in R6 Siege (which bothers me everytime). I also really like the contrast between the German voice actors and Tannhausers voice, it promises to get really immersive.
