What are you? Who hurt you?
Apparently the developer was getting alot of emails from upset people who were spending days trying to figure out how to beat an impossible hole, so he decided to play through 10,000 holes on his own and regenerate any impossible stages that were generated as he played in order to make the game completable for everyone.
This is true for both the Mobile and PC version, You'll sometimes still see people posting pictures of them playing on a hole past 10,000 That's because when the update rolled out it replaced the hole they were currently playing on with the new 10,000 holes but retained their stoke and hole count. meaning if they were on hole 8000 before the update they would end up at 18,000 before it ended.
