Is there the item usage mechanic in this game?

In Shallie, you had the item usage mechanic where an item can be have multiple uses. Has this returned to Lydie and Suelle? I skipped Sophie and Firis so not sure if they're in here.

Items have a number of times they can be used before running out. But they don't get restocked when you return to town. Once you use it up, it's gone.

So after you use up an item, you can't use it anymore and have to make new ones?

Seems like a step back to me.

This game does what they did in Sophie. That is the default, HOWEVER, there is a character named Corneria. As you deal with her, she gives access to item registration/duplicatioin, and eventually auto-refil, which will restock your used items. Unlike Shallie, this does cost money, but the cost isn't all that much. Maybe 5-10 cole per item use being restocked, depending on the item. In Sophie as you continued to befriend her and complete some quests for her, she would eventually do it for free. I haven't gotten that far yet, but I imagine she can do the same here later in the game.

How long would it take to get to where she can refill your items? Curious if this is a mid game mechanic or late game.

Yeah you get the refills Midgame. And yes it does get cheaper eventually. Though money is never a problem in these games anyways XD.
