Just killed Super Termina and Palmy Level 100 on Very Hard, time to wait for DLC

Bosses were super easy with the right setup, Alt absolutely destroys Termina and Palmy is just a slug fest that takes a long while to windle down that almost 1 mil HP.


As always, Lightning Crystals are MVP. Alt and Suelle were the only ones that matter, rest were there just to debuff the boss and heal.

Alt had Spirit Menace (100% Crit against them), 240 Atk + 200 Equip Effect. With 2x Bonds of Belief (+70% Follow Up Dmg) and Uncontrolled Aura + Super Skill (+85% Skill Dmg), and Skillful Attack (+25% Attack +25% Skill Dmg). He was dealing around 5k on Termina and around 2k on Palmy. This could be doubled with Star Painting.

Suelle was just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, with Ultimate Mobility + Wild Instinct + Light as Wind (15%) for a whooping 90% Wait Time Reduction on Skill, I acted around 10~20 times before the boss could (more if I happened to stun the boss before he acted). With other other girls spamming Lightining Crystal, Palmyra acted 6~10 times, while Termina only 3~4. She also had Follow-Up Drain ATK, DEF, SPEED. Palmyra loses 94 Attack on the Drain, lol.

Follow Up is just broken.

Now that I think about it, maybe I should have put Follow-Up Drain ATK on Alt for that sweet, sweet +94 ATK, but too lazy to try.

Doesn't Work, Follow Up don't proc Follow Up effects, feels bad man.

I always thought that battles in Atelier games were won or lost before they started. I suppose thats because of the focus on making items rather than the combat itself and I kinda like it. Every Atelier game has some way for you to break it over your knee it seems.

Yep, the game is extremely punishing if you don't break it and that is how I like it. Even my super tanky Firis with 600 HP and 250 Defense still some times dies to a heavy punish by Termina, although she doesn't even move against Palmy.

Add in that Palmy has an innate 50% damage reduction and she is resistant to all elements and magic. She dies easy to N/A Bomb though, but I have no reason to make that build.

my lv 29-32 party got one shot by falgo with his AOE slash attack that's ridiculous while maximum mix does like ...182 damage on him

You mean the first time you meet Falgo? It's supposed to be impossible to kill him, although if I feel like it, I will play NG+ and kill him with my gear.

Thats uhh a bit weird? i think you were supposed to defend agaisnt one of his called attacks at about half hp. Since i managed to win against him on hard 1st try without much min-maxing and just average gear on everyone. Party lvl was around 32-34 except for Sophie.

He's talking about first encounter, where he 1 shots everyone.

The issue is that he is resilient to almost all damage. Also, Alt is the only one that deals any kind of real damage as Follow UP, with Sophie coming Second. Firis wins against both, but she can only follow up once per battle.

If I did start over, I'm confident that my Firis would tank him easy, especially since she is immune to lightning damage.

No one can afford Firis' Follow Up by even three chain when she is fully armmed and enhanced.

Yep, Firis has the highest damage, but is limited to 1 burst. If there were no limits, Firis would be a god.

My friend and I estimate that those who can afford fully armmed and buffed Firis' 8 chain need at least 3 million HP.

Alt has the most powerful combination art with Matias after Follow Up, even in the latest version. We estimate monsters need about 1.5 million HP to afford this.

Except that the only monsters that matter are the level 200 ones that have a lot of reducing damage. Even if you set up reducing their resistance by 2 tiers, I don't think she can come close to 1 shotting them.
