They have a lot of influence from old games like Ogame and have managed to maintain a solid following because well those games are popular for people that dont have 4h at a time to sit down and game and this game doesnt allow your main system to be destroyed.
The main system not getting popped is kind of what sets this game apart from its competitors. So really any game that is suggested will probably be one where you can loose months of work by getting invaded. While this game saves you the impact of that by keeping yellow star system safe.
Ogame, Astro Empires, there are tonnes tbh. Most dont use Graphics the way this game does though. There is one called Starfall tactics that just came out that is similar in many ways, but its all around a little bit of a shady game, imo.
Starfall Tactics was originally marketed in english, then changed to only Russian, took an inordinate amount of time to even launch, had ownership changes and the english client for their game currently is unsigned so throws up warning if you try and install it.
