EDIT: Oh I see it now, you're talking about the action bar for things like selecting system view and pinging. Yeah that is annoying.
I can agree about the production button though. I don't find myself building enough to warrant a dedicated button.
Agreed. Especially when it notifies me every time my money goes from "less than some number" to "more than that number" because it means I met some threshold for building a thing. Maybe I don't want to build that thing right now.
I must say though, it's a minor complaint. I'm quite happy with the update as a whole.
As a whole, really good all around. Its just the UI that has been annoying to deal with.
As another point, the miner sector priority system is wonky. After a miner completes the assigned sectors, that selection remains but has no mechanical impact. If you don't reassign new priority sectors, the miner goes back to the old behavior (but will continuously display those priority sectors).
Either:
a) they are being used mechanically in which case its an awful mechanic if those sectors regenerate a single asteroid (miner takes priority over a sector that has 7 or 8 asteroids)
b) they aren't being used at all.
(A) is weird, because if you issue a move order to an asteroid, then set priority sectors that do not include the asteroid you sent the miner to, it will leave that sector for one of the priority ones.
(B) is weird because those sectors persist after they have ceased having a mechanical benefit.
But now they don't mine at all if I don't specify sectors when I'm afk so my hydrogen income has dropped significantly.
I've been suspecting something like that for a while, but I haven't actually sat there and watched them. But I think you're right.
Thing is, I don't think it'll matter. You'll have to assign them sectors every time they run out of things to mine.

The number of mining sectors was already a thing. Nothing's changed in that regard.
