Black screen infront of video

as the title says, there is always a black box in front of the video and i can't watch anything, how do i get rid of it? there is no option anywhere

So... I reinstall several times and reset settings in app and finaly its gone.

It's happening to me too. Uninstalled+reinstalled several times and reset the app settings a few times too. Also, scrolling isn't working

Ho disinstallato e reinstallato più volte, ma non riesco a risolvere il problema: ho sempre il menù che impedisce la visione dello schermo. Come fate per resettare l'applicazione? how do you reset the app?

Glad i found this, same issue proper p me off, after recent updates of MS, Nvidia and Oculus aswell as Steam hopefully some one got idea what screwed it up.

We all know that they will not fix this. So with 2D video i deal when removing D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\YouTubeVR\assets\entities\background.bin and that black screen under video then i use AdvancedSettings spacemover to move me up. This is my way how to deal with that problem. Hope someone will find better way. This is very uncomfortable now and I do not know how to watch 360deg videos vithout that black screen(

temp fix, you can move the windows around to view the video screen. you point at window, pull trigger(vive). you can set controller down towards the floor point controller towards the ceiling so pictures are tilted about 45 degrees from a horizontal plane. this puts the top edge closest to me, and the bottom farthest. it allows me to peep over the black window and see the whole screen in a comfortable manner.
