Add new avatars?!
Greetings, people!
I already configured everything so far I can see the standard avatars. The models work so far and everything. Normally, after I've activated LIV (the green circle thingy) the avatar list and stuff opens. But also there should be a small window where you can Drag & Drop new avatars you've downloaded from the internet. I don't have this window. In every video I've seen so far the window opened from alone. But not for me.

Can you tell me why, please? And how do I fix this?

You can drop avatars onto the main LIV window to import them!

Thank you very much for your message, ClawsMod.
I found it out by myself, when I visited your website.
I was so focussed on this small seperate drag & drop window,
I didn't get the idea to try it to drop it on the main window,
like you said, or visiting your website directly. But thank you anyhow.

After that I had another problem: I'm trying to use an avatar in Beat Saber via LIV. I watched some tutorial videos. While the people in the videos could open LIV via this button on the ground, moving cameras and using menus from LIV inside Beat Saber, I can't do this.
I'm forced to close Beat Saber and then I can activate, open and use LIV. But this makes the setup of all of that virtually impossible.

If I could use LIV inside of the game, I think my problem would be solved. I'm sure I do something wrong. Otherwise it would work. Do you have an idea how to help me?

Best Regards

You must own Beat Saber on Steam, and set
-vrmode openvr
in Beat Saber's launch options in your Library.

Thank you again, ClawsMod! It works... BUT...
Now there's a BUT. I have to explain a little.

I'm using the Oculus Rift S. Months ago I suddenly couldnt continue in the first screen of Beat Saber. The screen where you have to click on "Continue". The buttons didn't work. Just like that... out of nothing. I found out i have to write a command into the launch options. It was -vrmode oculus. After that everything worked fine again. Without this parameter it doesn't work.

I also couldn't edit the controller button layout in SteamVR. If I tried, there was this small window where you can change from default binding to custom binding... normally. But the two buttons werent there. Just the message "loading current binding...".

Today I tried something new. I activated the SteamVR Beta. This changed something. The "loading current binding" message from before was gone and I could see the two buttons again. I found out, there was a missing controller button layout for Beat Saber. Kind of: "playing without buttons", if you understand. I added one and assigned the functions to the buttons. Saved it. Checked if it was activated. Started the game. It still didn't work.

Problem in short: If I use the launch command -vrmode openvr, I have the LIV app inside Beat Saber. This is what I want. But the buttons don't work.
If I use the launch command -vrmode oculus, the buttons work and I can use Beat Saber, but the LIV App isn't in the game.

It's so weird! Do you have any idea to help me?
It would be such a relieve when everything finally works. I'm sure it's again one of this tiny mistakes what creates such a big problem if you don't know what the problem is.

Do you have Open VR installed?.. Rift S should also work with Open VR, you do have to activate Open VR in Oculus settings tho.. Don't know where from the top off my head.. but it should work... And I don't have my HMD here, so I can't check.
You have to check Unknown sources somewhere...
