Rotate camera 90 degrees
Hello! I have a Logitech StreamCam, which can be rotated 90 degrees to record content vertically. But it can't be used in LIV. Here we can mirror or rotate camera 180 degrees, but not 90.

Could you add 90 degree camera rotation function?

I can just rotate camera in OBS, but I'm afraid that I will see myself tilted in the viewfinder. Thanks!

Hey Kira,

All you need to do is calibrate with your camera physically rotated 90 degrees before calibration.
It will be a little confusing to calibrate like this, however it will work!

You will then see that your viewfinder shows you rotated 90 degrees too, and you'll want to rotate LIV's game capture in OBS too to output portrait video directly.

It's likely we'll make this easier in the future :)

Oh I see! I'll try it. Because when I tried to calibrate it was rotated and I thought it always will be like this. Thank you for reply!

Hey there, I have to turn my webcam 90 degrees so that I will be fully recorded by the camera when I am standing in the middle of my playing zone. If I leave the camera normal then my feet or my head will be cut off.

If I set up all the stuff in LIV the view is permanently angled to the left (because the cam is physically tilted in real life too). How can I turn the camera 90 degrees in the software so that I will be shown normally and not tilted?

I don't understand what the developer is meaning with: "All you need to do is calibrate with your camera physically rotated 90 degrees before calibration."

Do I have to calibrate my camera two times? Because every change to the physically position has to be recalibrated in the software.

It would be great if someone could help me out step by step.

KStrike, you just need to calibrate your camera as usual, but you will see youself rotated by 90 degrees. It's super inconvenient... But then it works as it should (but you will see yourself rotated in the viewfinder). If your rotate camera after calibration in OBS - it will be fine.

So that's why I asked developer to add this function, because it's not useful. So I play without LIV now.

(sorry for my English) :cinnamon2:

Hey Kira, thanks for your response.

Yeah, I've tried that method and it sucks... it sucks because the whole view is tilted. If you turn the picture in OBS for 90 degrees then there is a lot of gameplay stuff missing because of the fixed aspect ratio.

I thought I was missing something... so yeah..

March 2023… still no rotation option 🫤. I guess I’m not clear about why this arguably straightforward change is t implemented. Like if you were using the Camera app for windows in general, you can rotate it and it sticks. This is a very strange solution. And as the reply from LIV noted it will be fixed in the future… That was three years ago Ugh

I have already sold both of my VR sets and moved to another country. This problem is no longer important to me haha :cinnamon2:

https://feedback.liv.tv/posts/30/portrait-mode-vertical-9-16 they said to have this upvoted. Id love to have this option too. Can we get this posted to reddit or something that will get eyes?
