[SPOILERS] bug where I can't finish game

Hi, I'm stuck in the game, and I think its because I accidentally closed the game while Cornell was talking. So what just happened is Cornell talked to me about going to the first shrine with him, and I accidentally closed the game mid dialogue. When I reopened the game, there was no dialogue and it was just me in the same spot. So I tried to go on the train, but it has the "you shouldn't mess with this thing right now" instead of the options to visit the first train. How could you fix this, and am I missing something here?

Having the same exact issue myself and was wondering if you ever found a fix for this issue cause I have no clue what to do??

Years later and this bug is still there, and now I have to restart inches away from the ending.
Do better, devs. Rather than "claiming" your patch fixed this.

Unfortunately I never found a fix, I just ended up looking up a gameplay on youtube and pretending I beat the game.
