Arrow limit rly necessary?
Pretty much at the beginning i found arrows in some crates i smashed. As i like to loot i found some more in other crates and couldnt pick them up as my quiver was full obviously.
This felt like a little setback, as it always feels sad as player when you have to leave something behind because you cannot pick it up.
So i used the bow more and went back to the spot where i found the arrows. And they were gone.
Second setback.

Is the limited carrying capacity for arrows really necessary?

We feel that it is. A big part of the game is meant to be the way you handle enemies in different situations. Archery is a lot of fun, but it's also very strong. Being able to kite enemies and kill them without them ever getting near you can be fun, but it's not what we wanted for the game.

We want players to have to manage their resources to come out victorious. We've made it so that arrows can be retrieved from fallen enemies and archers drop a significant amount, plus like you said, you can find them in destructibles. Our hope is that this will allow players to use the bow at their convenience, but not simply spam arrows at things until they die without ever feeling like they might take damage.

I am more the melee-player, but i understand your point.
If ressource management is a wanted feature then maybe reduce (remove?) the arrow drops by (respawning) enemies. The number of arrows i can find in crates does not change if i can pick them up at once or not.

I dont think that the benefit of a limited carrying capacity really outweighs the negative aspects for the player.
Searching every corner of the level just to find loot i cant pick up feels unsatisfying (even if i dont use or need the loot)
Just my opinion.
If a player really is keen on finding all destructibles and saving arrows, fine, let him celebrate his somewhat 154 arrows in his quiver, instead of punishing him for finding every hidden loot.

Maybe you want to reconsider this, besides that its a great game, keep up the good work!

Thanks for the feedback. We really appreciate it and it's very useful for us to get opinions from players that sometimes go against our own, as it's likely to help us find a good balance somewhere in the middle.

The enemies don't actually drop arrows, by the way, except for the archers. They'll always have some as you'd expect. The other enemy types will never drop more than they've been hit with, and rarely all of them.

Glad you're enjoying the game otherwise. :)
