Another ice block bug?

I made it down to the ice factory, opened the lower chute, then went back up and released the ice block - not realizing I needed to stand on it. Great. Okay, so this shouldn't be a problem. I use the pod to warp back to the crane area, get on top of one of the control towers, and move the crane back to the initial collection lake where the whole game began. The control screen shows the crane arm is empty. I lower the arm over the lake, it says "ice ready" and... now the screen says it is loaded with ice, showing the white square in the picture... but there's no ice in the crane's arms.

I move the crane all the way back over to the drop point, just in case it was just a visual glitch and the ice block was there and just not being drawn... nope, when i try to release the phantom block down the chute, the crane opens its arms, and the picture on the control screen still shows that the crane "thinks" its holding an ice block.

Here is a screenshot of what I see, clearly showing the crane's empty arms, but the control screen showing the white square of a supposed ice block.

Is this a bug?

I Just found a solution: teleporting back to the swan and then teleporting back to the cliff got me the ice back on the crane
