Any hints in game to explain how to do this?
I'm not looking for the answer here, just wondering if we have hints somewhere in game to find in order to do or get started on certain puzzles.

At the moment i am trying to get the correct voltage to activate the power, I found where it says how much voltage i need, however i can only achieve the default of 25 or 0.

I am not really explaining this all that well but that is kind of intended.

Theres answers here at "second battery puzzle" a couple of pages from here'

Form a complete circuit for a non-zero voltage. Try different circuits to see how the voltage changes.

Where I downloaded it there is a "Strategy Guide" which is basically a hint system.
Sadly that is just a PDF, not very beautiful. But it's actually nice to read.

But there you will find an answer to this and other problems.

Sidenote: I miss the ingame hint system from Myst 4 :(

look up top you'll notice that there is an element that lights up if connected right, each station needs to be in a circuit from the two wires(+/-) leading down from where the voltage message is.
Each colour is a set voltage value...can't remember exactly...like 5-10-15 or something so i made a loop where all the elements lit up and then checked the voltage...was like 120 or something so i swapped out one colour for another and was good.
There may actually be a proper clue for the exact layout, but i just figured it out like this.

If you can get just one tower 'lit' up - note the voltage and the color painted on the frame. Then try for the other colors. I spent more time on this one that I should have :-)

Thanks, i think that was what i was missing, the element on top that lights up, i did not notice that and will pay closer attention.

Also thank you to everyone else for your answers

That was the same in game hint I missed as well!

The game tells you something about 'circuit' and the importance of it (think it also "mentions" something about different currents/voltages) prior to getting to the puzzle it self. And that's basically it :P

just be careful, on my system it only showed up when close enough so you can't tell from distance...they all look 'off' until you get close

I can only get one of the towers to light up. No matter how I move anything else, nothing changes and nothing lights up. Do I need to complete another puzzle first?

Edit:
I've also not found any mention of circuits or voltage values aside from the scribble on the main power switch. There are no visible hints.

Once i noticed the missing hint. "Thanks to you kind folks" It did not take long to solve.

I think the energy flow of a battery only goes one way.

I can't find it though. The only things nearby is a door I can't open due to lacking power and a Bunker I can't raise, due to lacking power.

Is there a pamphlet or something like with the broken rail part at the vault section?

circuit as in make one. Cant have any power unless things are connected

Alright, got it to work. I was overthinking it completely, it was much easier than I thought it was.
