Stuck on ice block level, not standing on ice block when falling in chute
I am stuck in the ice block level because i was not standing on the ice block when i let it fall in the chute. I cannot get a new ice block because the crane cannot go back that far. How do i complete the level?

reload earlier save game. the entire ice world is riddled with progression stoppers. So far I managed to get the first crane stuck in the mountain, stuck out of player reach, get the second crane stuck immovably, and I now quit the game for now because I put the second crane into its second progression position but it was off in a way that I glitched off the platform and can't get back onto the crane anymore...

The puzzles in that level are VERY complex on the scripting side. I do level design and scripting myself and I can feel the pain the team responsible for that level must have gone through, even more now people are getting stuck in that section left and right.

I hope there will be fixes soon. so far I lost roughly 1-2 hours of progress because I had to reload an earlier save state.

You can get a second ice block, just remember how you had to raise and lower the hook to get past certain areas. You have to do it blind from the control point near the upper door, but it is possible.

Glad I didn't run into that glitch, that crane is diabolical, 2 control pods on a circle that goes up and down. I thought I had it stuck at one point but was able to back if off the rock eventually.

I didn't stand on the block the first time, and it dropped without me. I was able to get a second block over to the chute, and dropped it with me on it. When it got to the factory, the first block was already there, and the second block (with me on it) clipped through the first. All worked, just a weird graphical glitch. I'm not sure how they could fix that without causing all kinds of problems, such as multiple blocks stacking up.

They could just find a way to have the earlier block kinda melt...? Put a little fire pit down there next to where the blocks land. :) Well, no, I guess not...

THANK YOU kjhall55! I was close to giving up and restart the entire game, no older savegame (learned from that to keep some the hard way).

The idea of getting another iceblock was there...so for the record:

Go back to "ice" (where the crane is), all over the bridge, through the "tunnel/cave", and to the tower with the ladder (where the bridge is opened). Climb up that ladder and control the crane from there to do the whole getting another iceblock thing, and bring it to the chute, all from that one control. Only this one can actually lower and raise the crane.

I've just finished my play-through, and found out the lift between the top of the ice block and the factory catwalks can still be controlled after you've used it. It probably should lock out all movement controls once you reach the catwalks, but it didn't.

The lift uses a bit of logic along the lines of "if player is on the lift, then allow motion in this direction, otherwise go that direction" - so if you stand outside the lift after you've used it and move it while you're standing on the catwalks, you can cut off your path back to the floor.

I managed to bring it all the way back over to the ice crusher at it's "low" height, where it clipped through the catwalk railing and got weird to interact with.
