About the broken part: ♥♥♥♥!
But Shadows are is good. Maybe the mirror was rendering the wrong eye? Hope the rendering issue gets fixed. Really want to play this in VR first.
(RTX 3080 ti 12Gb vram / 64Gb ram / Intel 7-11700K )
HP Reverb G2 - the controller assignment is unfortunately bad
Hoshi Du musst da mal wieder ein Video machen ...
VR allgemein, oder VR Mods? ^^ Ich arbeite dran. :)
A fix would be very much appreciated! I kind of want to hold off on playing until it’s resolved,
Will wait too until the VR part gets fixed and hopefully more individual graphic options. Thanks for all the replies.
Running this on an RTX 3090 with a Ryzen 9 5950X and 32GB RAM, with wired link to Quest 2. All drivers up to date.
I have the same problem with GTX 1070 and Oculus CV1. Different shadow details/blockiness on each eye, lights seems to flicker too.
I didn't have a lot of time to play, but I loaded up into the area with the power lines in Juleston, which is surrounded by some distant trees that I believe used to display this problem. Lo and behold, there wasn't a single flicker to be seen!
Edit: Alright, got a chance to play more. There are still a few issues, especially in St. Andrews. The trees don't look flickery anymore, but many of them exhibit a strange depth issue. There are also still a few places in St. Andrews where the shadows are not synced between eyes, so they either flicker or you see objects lit with sun with one eye and shadowed in the other. And some places where the shadows flicker a bit, and then only become visible when you're right on top of the object casting them.
So, overall it seems improved... but when it's broken, it's still rather broken, unfortunately.
Tested at Epic settings using a GTX 3090 and a Quest 2.
I just tested the shadows - nothing at all has been fixed with patch 4, shadows are as broken as ever:

Using RTX 3090 and Index. But using low shadows are ok with me, the game still looks stunning - and I'm using epic settings for other settings (DLSS Quality, Index res 225%, 80 Hz for 80 fps, antialiasing at medium higher does not look better - lens flares off, these look strange in VR - remaining settings maxed).
