Very Nice feature!
But I noticed when you did the tutorial video that you need to work on your presentation skills. Often you just clicked your way through one option after another without telling us what you did. Narrating what you're doing and why would be beneficially to all those people who see this wizard for the first time.
Maybe it would suffice to give the audience only one example in depth with the whole story and skim over the other options. But that one example must include all options and background for the viewers.
Think of us as students in class and yourself as teacher: If you loose our attention in between your presentation we don't learn a thing.

Lots of people complaning about the joystick , i never have a problem with it
It's good that you're trying to do something with bloated controls settings, but most users won't even find this tool hidden in game's files.
Why not improve in-game controls settings instead?

Does it remember your binds if you disconnect and reconnect your joystick?
CLoD would always drop all my keybinds if i unplugged my joystick, throttle or pedals.

A work around was found using a program called DEVREORDER, which (to my understanding) uses a DLL workaround for DirectInput8 which maintains port device ID numbering, regardless of if they get unplugged or the plug changes (port number is assigned by DEVICE ID, instead of random ID windows generates for DI8)

Does the Joystick Wizard do this?
Or is its just an improved UI for setting up new bindings?

Cheers :)

I am delighted to see this tutorial, thank you! Even after getting the IL-2 BOS controls dialed in, I could never figure it out on IL-2 COD. It was so frustrating that I just deleted the game. It looks like I will be reinstalling it!

Thanks for your collective comments. Disconnecting and reconnecting joystick is a problem if you reconnect into a different usb. Should not be a problem connecting to the same.

Hope to see you in the skies Bobby.

So that explains why when I load my saved user controls, the game doesn't recognise them. That really makes no sense at all. If I have a control profile, it shouldn't matter what USB or, for that matter what PC I plug my joystick into. No other flight sim I've ever owned has done that.

Greetings.

Although I follow the recipe in your video, it is not successful. The choices I make with the Logitech G940 Flight System are not saved when the procedure is complete. If there are other things I need to do, please specify them.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi Unicorn and Fred, the following from the author of the Wizard.

Try loading the file manually into the game after you finish the Wizard.
If not manually loaded, the game will overwrite the file upon exiting, hence loosing all the changes.

It's cool this was added, personally I had no issues setting up my hardware, no real dif to any other sim in this regard, I'm a little surprised ppl have so my trouble binding controls. its covered in a guide in manuals on the game install directory even.
