Campaigns any good now?

Hi guys I've been away for quite some time and I would like to know if the game has gotten any engaging campaigns as of yet?

I typically fly the Axis side.

Not really interested in single missions so much as I am about a developing campaign that has meaning for each flight.

Detailed or simple answers appreciated

There are a lot of great campaigns added for Desert Wings-Tobruk. For the Axis side there's a CR.42 campaign (Tempesta sull' Africa), Bf-109E/F campaign (Eagles over Tobruk), Ju-87 campaign (Gravity is my friend).

Not really. Single player for CoD Blitz is pretty much dead since years. You have the 2 (somewhat reworked) default campaigns and a new RAF mini campaign that is in the works. Thats it. Seems like the Blitz project didn´t gather any interest for the campaign creators.

I´ve made a collection of all still available campaigns back in 2018. Most of them by Piper-Kiew. Roughly translated from russian to english. But be aware, these campaigns are more than outdated and most of them will have bugs,errors, or simply CTD ^^ I you want,try your luck.

Umm... no, 9 scripted campaigns were added for Desert Wings-Tobruk, 11 campaigns in total. Also, if you post a problem with a mission in the campaign on the IL-2 forums or Reddit, the issue with the mission can be fixed.

I really hope devs are working on some dynamic campaign where you won't change frontlines etc. but could affect battles somehow. Like destroying shipment would affect how many/fast can nation repair planes or get new ones. Fuel reserves or skill of pilots. Tho it would fit tobruk more than channel.

Or at least get something like BoX.

I´ve talked about CoD Blitz, not the Tobruk DLC. And yes,I know how and where to report an issue with campaigns or any other problems regarding the sim. I´m into the IL-2 scene since 2001.

Haven’t heard anything about a dynamic campaign being worked on. Would be great for SP.

Right now the only dynamic environment I know of is the TWC server. It has everything a dynamic campaign has I‘d say, but it‘s an online server you play on. The difference would be that the war goes on when you are not there, so when you come back things may have changed.

There is a dynamic front line, there are resources that you can knock out by attacking factories and ships etc. Knock out radar stations to generate fog of war, limit enemy aircraft by destroying them, disable airfields, do aircraft replacement runs for forward airfields for your own side etc..

You can make a bomb run and spawn escorts for your bomber. Or you go hunt bombers attacking your side‘s assets. Don‘t know if you can spawn AI wingmen though.

And you also have your own career stats with lives, rank progression etc. on TWC Stats website.

Edit: apparently you can generate „cover“ aircraft which act as AI wingmen, not just escort. Fighters or bombers regardless. Never tried it myself, so don‘t know details.

And it requires Tobruk, which I hadn‘t mentioned. So not an option for Blitz only players.

The type of "campaign" structure that exists now doesn't seem to have changed since the original CloD launch. Not sure where the resources to create a "dynamic" campaign system would come from. Crossing fingers that the graphics "relaunch" will materialize before year's end and the "relaunch" is something that has actually been promised.
