"Joystick Wizard" automatic joystick recognition program for BLITZ and TOBRUK
Hello All

We are including a "Joystick Wizard" program to simplify the recognition and programming of joysticks and other devices.

At the moment this is located in the main IL-2 STURMOVIK CLIFFS OF DOVER installation folder in your STEAM folder and must be manually started. We hope to have the program integrated inside the game in the near future.

Steps to use:

- Start the game at least once to make sure the required folders are created.

- Shut the game down, make sure it is not running when you start the Wizard.

- Go to your IL-2 folder in STEAM. (usually installed on your 'C' main drive if you are not sure where to look)

- Click on Joystick Wizard .exe to start.

- Instructions are self evident from the program.

- Finish programming, save, and exit the program

- Start the game.

Here is a link to a video tutorial on youtube:

We welcome feedback. ;)

I found it but it doesn't work:

Error opening ConfUser.ini
Thank you so very much!

Trying to get my CH Combatstick to work was driving me nuts!

Still have to figure out what button assignments are best to actually fly the plane.

Hi, the files is located here:

F:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover Blitz

Change "F:\SteamLibrary\" to where your Steam directory is loaded normally "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam"

I have my Steam games installed on a different drive hence why my location is "F:\SteamLibrary\"

Please make sure you run the game at least once so the default folders/files are created on your "my documents" folder.

Also, if you happen to run the game as admin, you will need to run the wizard as admin too so it has permissions to read/write the config file.

I could find it in the game folder, you might still be in an older version.

The wizard works great, thank you!

Used the wizard with Logitech 3D pro (run as admin) and now the stick isn't functioning at all. Prior to this I'd configured the stick manually, which did work, but I thought the wizard would enhance and validate my basic settings. Going back to reconfigure manually and hopefully get back in the air. A great addition to the game if it actually worked, so any suggestions to correct please let me know. Thanks.
Yeah. I'm with badgoat. I also have a logitech 3d pro that works fine with the base game, and the game isn't detecting it at all, even after doing joystick wizard (which detects it just fine). Can't even add controls manually in game because the game won't detect the stick.

What a joke. It's 2020. Probably headed for a refund post haste.

You are saying the 'base game' recognizes your joystick, but the DLC does not?

The wizard recognises the joystick, the base game does not.

I'm using a logitech 3d pro and I'm having no problem with the game recognising the Joystick. Everything works fine for me......

Well thanks for letting me know it could work - any clue as to why some people are having problems jack?
