If you owned it before, delete it, remove every folder. They will be in your documents and in steam folder. If you owned it before you should have cliffs of dover and cliffs of dover blittz. Don't install first one and don't have it installed. Use only blitz. So delete everything and reinstall blitz.
If you just bought it then click right mouse on game on steam, properties and then find "verify files", do it. You can do it even if you owned blitz before, it often fixes a lot of problems.
Turn off steam overlay in the same place.
Also if you have avast or avg, you should add entire game as exception. These 2 antiviruses sometimes block the game.
Then there is this, one user who had W10 problem found solution and here is what he wrote:
The problem was with a faulty MSCORSVC according to the performance log reasons why CloD - Blitz was failing. This was caused by the last Windows 10 update previous to the 4.55 update patch. On some computers the MSCORSVC was damaged. Only a total reset of Windows 10 will correct fix the problem.
Thats a bummer man because issues like this is what i always read other people have problems with and never me. This must be the first for me and I have 300+ games on steam.
Also disable steam overlay.

There was a problem if someone had old clod files still on pc. Did you removed all il2 folders from my documents? They should still be in steam folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover Blitz
(Also in the same place but folder without "blitz" like this i think:
C:\Program Files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover
and here

Entire procedure should look like this: Delete clod blitz, delete clod if you have it installed. Remove everything in document folder about clod. Remove everything from steam folder. Then reinstall blitz only.
Hey Adler, I got it to work. It is one of those things when I got frustrated and about to give up I start to do things without paying attention and thus I cant really say 100% what fixed it. I ended up follow your link to atags and the crash thread and downloaded cloder.exe and a dll. Thread said it wasnt nessessary if you got team fusion mod but i put it in my gamefolder anyway, ran it and got a antivirus flag on it. Went in to give it permition and found my il2 launcher also being flagd. Now i had given it exclusion from scanning before and had antivirus turned off during install. I have bitdefender and you can go in and manually point an exclusion path or if it red flags something you get sliders to move for that certain exe. There is where i found launcher exe was flaged and if that got flaged after i run the cloder.exe i downlaoded from atag i can not say. But now it runs. Sorry I cant be more specific but i hold my antivirus as the culprit for my problems. Thanks for taking time to help out, appreciate it.
Uninstall from Steam and delete all folders on your PC... also delete folder in Documents/1C SoftClub.
Then install CoD Blitz.
