Finding the Stranger

I was wondering, if you didn't know about the deep space satellite and all that, could you still stumble upon the Stranger by pure chance?

I guess the Stranger moves in a definite orbit like everything else in this game, so my guess would be that you definitely could, it's just very unlikely given the invisibility cloak.

What do you think?

In theory yes you could find it by accident. But the Stranger is not in the same orbital plane as the planets so that makes it much less likely to be found by accident. Doesn't really help or hurt the chances but I don't think it is actually orbiting the sun either, it appears to be in a fixed position in relation to the sun.

I wonder if the Nomai probe ever gets fired off into the Stranger.

I accidentally flew right into it immediately after buying the DLC. I set a course for the Sattelite via AutoPilot, and halfway there, everything goes dark.
