60 FPS Lock Workaround

Hi Travelers!

We're letting you all know that there's a 60FPS lock workaround described down below!

In your C:\Users\<username>\AppData\LocalLow\Mobius Digital\Outer Wilds directory, create a new .txt file called secretsettings.txt in that file, add the line PhysicsRate=120 , or instead of 120 whatever your target framerate is save the file, close it, and re-launch the game.

This functionality is hidden because easily allowing players to modify this can cause many issues on lower end machines. Try this out and see if it works for you.

*Note that it's been found that the game prefers sets of doubles for the PhysicsRate i.e.: 60, 120, 180, 240. Try different ones to find the one that works best for your machine.*

*For some , they don't care about framerate , but i do ! and so many . smooth experience is something i seek since i bought my 144hz monitor with a decent graphic card .

please just fix the game breaking bugs before you attempt to add some features for frame rates. I still cannot jump of the life of me. rebinding keys does absolutely nothing aswell ;( quite a few other bugs are present also, like not being to cook a marshmellow or exit scenes.

This really is something. Doesn't that break the physics? Because I'm playing with it and it looks good so far :)

It's possible to mess it up with lower end hardware, which is why we don't normally recommend it, glad it's working well for you!

I can't find that file, all I have is the OW directory located in SteamApps. Is there any fix for that ?

This "fix" doesn't work for me somehow. Damn. Tried playing with the fps & v-sync values, but nothing changed.
