Stuck underwater on the levee ruins - what to do?
Several times I happened to be in the water, swimming through the broken levee. At some point the current speeds up aand carries me through it without letting me to get out of it in time. Eventually it smashes me into the ruins of the levee, I take a crit to my vitals and then I get stuck. I can't move except up and down, left and right, but the movement is obstructed anyway and I can't do anything about it.
One of my thoughts was to burn the fuel and then O2, but the jetpack just doesn't work underwater.

Is there any way to get out of it except just waiting out the loop? If I just reload will I keep the ship log updates I got during this loop?

Yeah, exiting out will start a new loop exactly the same as dying.

If you talk to Gabbro on GD again, he can teach you to meditate which also allows you to quickly restart a loop without waiting, but yeah just quit and reload should work too.

In general, you need to be in a raft in the places where there are rapids. After the dam breaks, the ruins of the dam become rapids. If you're not, and you're heading for rapids, there ain't much for it but to die or meditate out.

Whoa, is it new in the DLC or I just failed to talk to him again during the maain story? Seems like I need to talk with all the NPCs again after beating the main story once.

Didn't you have a "there's more to explore" note about Gabbro's Island? It's in the base game. I'd have hated the cacti even more without it.

The meditation thing comes without "there's more to explore" mark, I got the achievement prior to buying the DLC. Turns out you just have to talk to Gabbro.

Yeah it's just the 2nd time you talk to Gabbro, which is kind of a weird decision for such a useful feature. Gatekeeping it in the first place is somewhat bad game design, even if it is thematically cool

And it's not even that. It's the second time you talk to him after at least three loops have passed.
