Might be in a country that just had a lot of inflation and suffered from adjustments in regional pricing?

Turkish or something? I've heard they've had a lot of inflation.

good point, that's led me to finding it's not unique to this game.
Half life 2, big price increase in some currencies back in November 2022.
Tunic, big price increase same day as Outer Wilds.
Doom, big price increase back in July 2022.

Yeah, regional prices of this game recently being re-adjusted which make price increase in most regions (some region has no change or price decrease).

I remember hearing something about this posted in a developer comment on the game Dead Cells, that the regional price was being normalized because if you set your region to, say, Turkey, you could get like... 60-70% off relative to your "local" price, depending on where you live. So it's probably a Steam-side adjustment rather than a game one.

It might also be something relating to devs "blindly" trusting Steam's automatic price recommendation system.

This game offers more than most triple A titles for 80 bucks so stop complaining.

"Old indie game"? It's less than 4 years old!
Astral Feb 7, 2023 @ 9:49am
To be fair that's the release date might have been 2019 but this game already had prototypes winning prizes in 2015 so technically has been around for some time already. Also 4 years is a long time in a videogame that isn't a live service.

What's interesting though is that there was a peak of 78k twitch viewers last month wonder who was streaming it.

Wow, glad I got it on sale a while back then... just saying get things on sale when you can afford them, especially good indie games which support more inovative indie games...
