Ending bugged out? everything is foggy! [SPOILERS]
So i've been playing the game on and off, game runs perfectly fine with no crashes. i've been going through the motions for the first time and finally reach what i assume is the ending after a trip to the eye

but after everything that happens after, with the walk through the 'forest' and then meeting your mirror, everything turns foggy and white. i can find the campfire and even speak to one person after i managed to bump into them

here's a screenshot to show what i mean
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2875392837

i've tried resetting the game, reloading the save, verifying file integrity but nothing has worked. each time i bump into my mirror, i'm kicked to this white fog thats way too thick to see through.

i tried looking up this issue but there were absolutely no similar posts to what my problem is and i'm out of solutions save for just starting the whole game over and speedrunning it, which i'd much rather not do.

severely hampering the bit of enjoyment i was having with the game now that the ending has been blocked out for me

I mean, that might help navigate the rest of the the things an maybe even reach the ending, but i'd think not being able to see the ending makes that useless.

What's the problem with deleting the save file? The only thing you are losing are the entries in your ship log. Everything else is saved in your brain.

You can always back up your savefiles before starting a new game. Just to be sure.
And you can reach the eye in a single loop. Even in a new savefile. No need to speedrun. The steps that are necessary to reach the eye are saved in your brain aswell.

i was being hyperbolic when i said 'speedrun' the game lol i just personally wanted to keep all the data i had gathered throughout the playthrough. i feel like thats simple enough, even if i can just run it through purely off of memory now. In any case, most everyone i've spoken to about this issue has just told me to restart the game. something tells me it'll just happen again but thanks anyway dudes

I'm having the exact same problem. I also got a glitch that made me go blind periodically on the twins and on the phantom moon sixth location, apparently it's so rare no one online seems to mention it, but support told me it's a bug related to 1070/1080 and 3070/3080 Nvidia graphic cards. I managed to muddle my way through it anyway, and then encounter this garbage. Was so excited to see the ending too. And the scope literally doesn't work anymore either, brings up squat. Stuck in the fog forever now I suppose.

thats a real shame. i guess if it just does it again, i'll go and watch the ending off of youtube cause i've no clue how i'd fix it outside of getting a different graphics card.

Maybe mark his advice as the answer to your Problem. That way people with the same problem, can immediately see the solution. If they end up here.

And sry for misunderstanding. Sometimes it's hard to understand figures of speech over the internet.

Same was happening to me in some areas of the DLC lately, found no info about this so I triend what you said. It indeed works.

I've heard the latest nvidia game ready driver was causing a lot of issues, so it really makes sense. Thanks alot
