Lets go back to Outer Wilds 11 Years ago
For those interested in seeing the early days of Outer Wilds, I made a Video 11 Years ago in 2013 back when the Game was a Free Alpha, downloadable from the Developers Website.

The Video is more of a "Cinematic" style, which shows the Orbital Bodies around the System in a "not so shiny state", so doesn't contain a "Let's Play".

The Gameplay was still enjoyable back then, although the Flight Model has had a lot of work done to it, it still followed a lot of the current Physics. The AI did have dialogue, but I can't quite remember if any of the Chain Missions were Developed yet or not.

The only part of the Video that isn't the actual Game is from 4:54 - 5:14 where after the Supernova happens and the Slideshow starts turning back time is manually created from Screenshots of the Video itself, and not of a Playthrough.

On their Website they actually had a few Free Projects on there that were also fun, one being a First Person Puzzle Game where you had to alter your Height to be able to accomplish the Puzzles, I just wish I could remember the Name of it to see if it's still floating around anywhere.

All in all, they did an incredible job with Outer Wilds in the End, and I hope to eventually see more come =]

I still remember Joel's stream of the alpha.

End Times was far sadder and the Dark Bramble looked as evil as it was. The was only the banjo travelller and you could find and listen to floating space jellyfish.

Very nice.

Awesome video. This is an amazing look at what was.

Fascinating to see what was (And what was not) at least partially in mind since from a very early stage. I sort of figured the interloper especially was more of an afterthought in terms of development staging, but here it is regardless, and Timber Hearth's famous geysers seem nowhere to be seen.
