Quantum moon is bs
I kept shooting scout down to its surface, taking the pictures of local landscapes while I try to land, and it disappeared each time.
I thought there are some super-special conditions for landing, but I was just supposed to take a single picture while the scout was just starting to fall on it from space??

That's bs, man, taking pictures of the moon's surface while on the moon should work the same as taking pictures of the whole moon from afar.

Taking pictures of the moon's surface does work, but only if you actually get the picture.
If the scout is on the Quantum Moon, but you're not, you won't receive any actual images, just static.

And that's bs. I'm observing the moon from space, my scout's observing it from the surface - what's the problem?

Also, when I played around with warp cores on the ember twin, I lost the scout at some point and got the same static when I took the picture. That made me think I could land on the Quantum moon by falling into black hole in some special way.

Have you tried taking a picture of the moon itself then just landing on it? Maybe that does something different.

Yes, I already looked it up on youtube. It's counterintuitive af.

it really isnt. If youve taken a photo of the moon, the picture is saved on your ship, as long as you are constantly watching the image while flying, the moon stays there.

Even if, lets say you do snap a picture on the surface, it wouldnt matter bec the planet teleports. The planet and the surface is its own quantum object. So while you would see the surface, you would not see the planet so youd still not be able to land.

But if you have the picture of the moon while flying, the moon can never teleport, the moment you do switch pictures, it will. It makes sense.

If you take and keep a picture of the surface (an actual picture, not static from communication error), the Quantum Moon won't move.

I have to say, the solution doesn't really make any sense. If you're flying towards it, you're looking at it, so by the quantum laws of the game, it should stay there because you are observing it. I don't see why it would suddenly disappear when you reach a certain distance from it.

Your vision becomes obstructed while you're entering its orbit

Well, at least you're not like me: I spent hours trying to get the Nomai shuttle to land on it. Then I actually got it to START landing on it (imagine my shock at THOSE odds)....only for it to, yep, disappear.

Honestly, the puzzles in the game are well-crafted but not enigmatic. Their not war codes that need to be broken, they're more like magicians tricks: crazy hard to figure out but with an actually simple solution.

DM me if you need any SPOILER-FREE hints...and stay off of YouTube until you complete this game!!!!!

Personally i had problem with being unable to land even when i had the picture of the moon... as i turned out, i probably were making them from too far away

this is really simple, actually. It's frustrating as a puzzle I will admit but the reason for it in game is pretty intuitive.

the quantum moon is covered in a thick layer of fog that obstructs your vision when entering, therefore you can't just fly towards it.

if you place your scout on the moon, doesn't matter because the planet and it's surface are 2 different quantum objects. Plus, with such hard and thick fog it might be hard to transmit an image back to the player, so you just get static.

there's some holes in the scout on the moon part but when it comes to how the game works, I think it makes sense. I did have trouble with the puzzle though too, I get your pain.
