VR Mod
Is this game a fairly good experience with the VR mod? I've never played this game before and no very little about it.

I have heard it was excellent but havent played it myself.
It may be a little difficult if you have a fear of endless void as a lot of the game is in space.

I've played with it and It is a VERY solid VR port but the performance is awful. I don't know if there have been any fixes but with my decent computer the game was really choppy.

I actually had amazing performance with mine. I do recommend getting familiar with the game without VR first to get your bearings, but the VR mod is top notch and REALLY enjoyable both in base game and the dlc!

Make sure you have your VR legs (motion sickness) well and sorted because it can and will make you pretty nauseous if you're not prepared.
If you find the timer in-game too hindering in VR, you can install a mod to change the progression of time (or to just explore at your leisure).

I highly recommend the game if you love VR games, as the VR mod is very well developed (and had assistance from the developers themselves).

I agree with this. I have a pretty decent system and I adore the flat version, but the VR Mod seems to be kinda stuttery, jumpy, and hiccupy? Any thought on settings to smooth out the experience? I was going to take some time today and try some adjustments so maybe I can update the community on my personal findings, but I can only report how it goes from my specific setup. Hopefully I can provide some positive results that may help other folks!

Just got the game. Just installed the mod. I have heard about the performance of it in vr. I think the best option would be to force the asw always on and go for a smooth 45. Or 60 / 120. Yaaa, i think i will try that. Turn my Q2 to 120hz and force 60

Holy moly thanks for this thread, just tried it, first game to really trigger any of my fears, this is the worst and best VR game.

If you get it working it's insane. Devs should make their own support.
Best game I've ever played in my entire life. VR mod was better than any native VR game I've ever touched. Raicuparta is a wonderful person.

I never got very far in this game but dang I'd really like to try it in VR someday. I'll have to look this mod up.

Any help apprecieated. I'm having trouble getting the mod running, using a vive pro 2 with wands. I turned off SteamVR theater mode. From inside SteamVR Home, I double click the desktop icon for OWML launcher, and it after some errors on a text window, the game launches to a window on the desktop, but SteamVR is still showing SteamVR Home in the HMD.
