I got two endings. What are the rest?
I've heard this game has 5-6 endings.

I've got what can be considered as the "canon" or "official" ending and the bad (maybe worst?) ending.

What are the others? Any clues as to what kind of "tweaks" could be made to obtain them?

I hope I don't have to be explicit about what I mean by the "worst" ending. But in case I do, it's where you remove the warp core and die, and it says "YOU ARE DEAD".

Most of the rest are variants on the 'worst' ending you got. There are a few other places you can be when that happens with different results (one or two are in the DLC if you have that).

Outside of that the other alternative endings all involve making things go very wrong with causality.

As Quillithe said, it's just more of the bad. I'm bad at giving hints, so this is more or less a list of direct solutions, think I've got everything:
1) Take the warp core and fly outside of the solar system
2) Get stuck on the Quantum Moon's sixth location
3) Break time and space - In the High Energy Lab or in the Ash Twin Project.
4) (DLC) Get stuck on the Stranger
5) (DLC) Get stuck in a specific state on the Stranger

The other endings are more like easter eggs where you get a text message.

1) Try removing the core and then escaping the solar

2) Remove the core and go to the quantum moon until the end of the loop

3) Try going in the High Energy Lab on Ember Twin, prepare the experiment with a black hole and a white hole and power the energy lab. send your scout toward the black hole and remove it quickly. You should have 2 scouts and the easter egg ending.
3bis) or, for the same ending but more fun in my opinion: go to the Ash Twin Project at the end of the loop and don't remove the core, wait near it instead. At the end of the loop, jump into the black hole. On the next loopn go back to the Ash Twin project for a surprise, and the easter egg ending if you wait till the end of the loop without juming in the black hole this time for the same easter egg ending.

2 other endings are linked to the DLC, so no spoil there.

Interesting answers, thanks.

I hadn't thought of the solar system thing, quantum moon or otherwise (the sixth location is near the Eye, obviously).

Two scouts, huh? Why is that a problem? Is it mass-energy conversion? I always thought of it as teleportation (exactly what the recall of the scout SHOULD be doing).

For the third one I am confused. There's only one black hole - in Brittle Hollow. What other black hole do you mean? There's obviously the one that appears inside the Vessel in the very end that takes you to the Eye after entering the coordinates and moving the purple ball in the other slot but I doubt you mean that one.

So hey, I did the ones with the solar system and the two scouts. Though I didn't get anything special with the two scouts, the machine just fails to retrieve them when the lab is powered.

You need to get the timing just right - here's a video of it being done

Basically you let the scout come out the white hole and then prevent it from going in the black hole. Which is a small issue with causality

Oh, I gotcha. Basically cause a paradox. It seems I know what to do and how to do it, just haven't actually done it yet.

Sadly, I'm not getting any achievements for any of these special endings :(

I don't think alternate endings have achievements mostly, maybe just one. The achievements are more odd things you can do, like unintented puzzle solutions kinda and easter eggs

If you don't remove the core, it transforms into a black hole at the end of the loop, jump into that black hole then get back to the Ash Twin project on the next loop :Hearthian_Wink:

Just as an aside, I'm seriously annoyed at how unnecessarily hard they've made it to use some of the teleporters e.g. sun station and the ash twin project.

The first or the second time the "puzzle" aspect of it is okay, exciting even, but when you are trying to grind stuff it gets REALLY annoying.

They should have done a cheat or shortcut for this one too, similar to what they've done for the Sunless City and Hanging City.

I could not return to the core of Ash Twin after entering the black hole one time (the sand, aaaargh) and I still got the "easter egg" ending. Still need to see what this "surprise" is, though.

Yeah honestly sun station teleporter is the one bit that can really get annoying if you need to retry it.

At least ash twin has a couple tries, sun station mostly requires you to be there at the EXACT moment partway through a loop. Most specific timing in the game, so resting at a campfire is harder to use to avoid waiting

For future readers I found a way to simplify using the ATP teleporter.

I used to wait in the doorway and then run to the teleporter at the right time, but it turns out it's FAR easier to wait in the hole in the wall instead. Much less chance of not making it to the teleporter.
